Positioned in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and boasting stunning views. On the edge of the beautiful Long Mynd Hills with 6000 acres of National Trust Moorland to explore and breathtaking vistas in virtually every direction offering numerous excellent walks and cycle routes, the cottage is situated on The Long Mynd cycle route and the Church Stretton Challenge Cycle Route. This area is extremely popular with walkers and cyclists.
Within walking distance of the Batch Valley and Carding Mill Valley.
The local area offers many more visitor attractions including : Acton Scott Working Farm, The Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre, Stokesay Castle, Wroxeter Roman City, Attingham Park and an easy drive will take you to the fascinating historic towns of Ludlow, Shrewsbury, Ironbridge, Bishop’s Castle, and Much Wenlock.

Our silly Dalmatian dog "Poppy" today ate a whole loaf along with 8 bread rolls, the supply then ran out! does make you wonder how much she would have eaten if more was available.

Left on Oct 6, 2018 for a stay in Oct 2018... It was so lovely to return for a week's stay at Hollywell Cottage with my family. The welcome pack is amazing red wine flapjacks chocolate bread butter jam marmalade milk and eggs. Doggie treats for Billy. The contents of the property is great everything you need and more. Soap at all basins tissues water and chocolate in the bedrooms. The views are stunning from the cottage and beautiful to wake up to each day makes you feel so relaxed. The garden also beautiful and a great place to sit and have a coffee in the morning. Lots of walks nearby,lovely dog friendly pubs to have a meal and then tea rooms in Church Stretton where we went a few times. This time we were lucky enough to meet the owners Sharon & Wayne which was nice. I would highly recommend this cottage and we will definitely be back.

Very proud that Hollywell Cottage is taking part in the WW1 remembrance in August. Sadly the reason behind this is that one of its inhabitant's did not return back in 1918. Looks like it is going to be an extremely interesting weekend. Our Wildflower meadow is looking great for its first year. Can't wait to see the results next year.
