i go here every 3 / 4 weeks metro centre and have done for years .

i agree with alloy of the comments thats some of the staffs customer service isn't the best but the nails are the longest lasting nails . I've been to lots of nail/beauty salons and they don't last half as long .the price is really good too.

i also went to saville row salon today as metro centre is closed at present and wow the salon is lovely ill defiantly being going back for other treatments .

Always get my nails from here, sometimes I have to wait a while but it's worth it. Nails last forever and the staff are very good .

Had my nails done yesterday and the quality of my nails are great. Service was good too - the first man who I was seen by was friendly and very gentle and made sure my nails were all the same shape and even. Very happy with my nails! �

Went to get nails done today soakes off and reapplied an hour and a half later i finally had a new set and painted. The nails themselves are lovely buy customer service is terrible, my mam came with me was her first time and no one explained to her the process, i had to tell her where to go. Then the man who was doing her nails was rude and actually hit her on the hand with the nail file cos she didn't put her hand in the right position. A little bit of explanation of the process would of been nice.

As for my experience i had 6 different people work on my nails they just kept disappearing and a different person taking their place. Why can't one person do the whole job!

Visited 4/3/17 just as they opened so I could get in without an appointment. This was my first time here and if there is one piece of advice I can give the shop it's explain to people what happens when it's their first time there!



4 different guys did my acrylics, I had to explain each time I wanted short and round. That not what I've got, I've got quite long oval/almond. I asked for white tip as I can't wear colour at work. After the 4th guy sent me to wash my hands I had no idea where to go next, I was sent over (by pointing and gesturing) to the girls who apply colour, and the first girl was confused that I didn't want colour and had to check with the receptionist that I was right.



The top coat that has been applied is awful, I've woken up this morning and some of it has come off, and on some of the nails it has discoloured.



I was having my nails done as a birthday treat to myself for an awards dinner I was going to. So they did the job, but I shouldn't be finding the top coat coming off and it discolouring after 24hrs.



My hairdresser has offered to look at them for me, but, in her opinion, I might be best taking them off altogether and starting again.

I think the nails are good but customer service is lacking it should be a good relaxing experience , staff do not talk to you and its a conveyer belt culture. i would rather pay more and have a more personal friendly service.

I love what I've ended up with but it's an absolute disgrace that every thing I asked for I couldn't have as it was out of stock or they didn't do it! If you don't do it then do advertise it on your Facebook page

I have had my nails done here several times, and I'm usually happy with what I get (but I often don't have them painted there as every time it's been absolutely chronic, I do a better job at home).

I went yesterday and had acrylic extensions done (and I am happy with them, they're lovely and the nail varnish job was actually good! But it was done by a girl I'd never seen there before) but the woman who filed them after doing the acrylic was so rough that she cut nearly all of my fingers with the file. Now I have fairly deep paper cuts on the tips of my fingers which obviously is really painful! I think maybe they need to concentrate on what they're doing a little more so they don't physically injure their clients. I'm not sure it's good for business.

Took nearly 3 hours to do a set of infills with gel and they weren't even busy. The nails look okay but over priced with rude staff and slow service. Will not be returning.

I went here for a change as I normally visit a salon where I live in Kent. First of all I had made an appointment for 7pm that night at 10am, however it turns out it was never wrote down in the diary as they weren't busy, but I had to sit and wait for 40 minutes before I was eventually seen. I had about 6 or 6 different people do my nails and not one really spoke to me. They would get up half way through and say 1 minute however it was about 20 minutes later someone come back! I didn't leave until 9pm and did not expect to be there for so long. My nails are okay not the best I have had however not the worst but they are definitely tender and the man did catch my cuticles several times. Would not be returning in a hurry and would definitely rather pay more and have a one to one service.

Don't be fooled by the new decor, got my nails taken off today after having them on for about 6 months but still found the service today appalling. Firstly the girl behind the counter clearly didn't know the price to many of the treatments... If she's knew then fair enough but someone needs to sort this. Also the first person who dealt with me (a thin very pretty lady) was very rude and rough with me, I was then dealt with by a young man who cut my skin several times, hurt me whilst removing them (tried to pick off the acrylic on some nails rather than soaking it off and only stopped when I said it hurt), also seemed to buff away an extra few layers of my natural nails than was needed. I've had nails taken off before and yes it's always a little uncomfortable and tender but I feel the service today was not good and that proper care wasn't taken to ensure as little damage to my nails as possible. Won't be returning, in future I will be going to supreme nails if I'm in the metro centre and will be doing my best to avoid 'thorn' in town. Been thoroughly put off today

Came to get one nail fixed and to have Gel put on and she was like “that will be £12” I was like are you joking to just put Gel on, I said well how come last week it was on £4 when I got my nails done and she said because that’s the price when you get a full set put on, so its £12 any other time, I told her to forget it and I would do it my self, Its no wonder people don’t like going there, absolutely disgusting charging that

went yesterday for my nails done and they were using the electric file on my natural nails and I felt this sharp shooting pain so I pulled my hand away and the man said sorry and I looked and my finger started bleeding and nail bed went bright red so I asked him to leave my nail then he walked away and got someone else to do them then I looked at my nail and he literally filled through my nail onto my nail bed!! Was abit worried as the drill file things are normally dirty so she put this blue anti infection thing on so that's when I started to worry� left without a full set even though I paid for a full set as I walked in, I spoke to the manager as I was getting my nails painted and he said I'll shouldn't get an infection so I should stop worrying and when it grows back I'll get a nail put on it, staff were really rude and didn't care that they hurt my finger! Wouldn’t even rate this place came over shopping went to get nails done and with in a day two of my nails falls off one of them when i pulled covers to get into bed left me sitting for ages no one came over to put acrylic on even tho they were all standing about would never go back here again

Worst place to get your nails done! Nothing is sterile.. Cut my cuticles which can cause infection if there equipment isn't cleaned.. Nails are ruined won't be coming back! Had horrible pain on my nail bed for days now after having them on! Some of the staff are so rude and rough! Disgusting

Worst nail salon I've been to in my life. Took 70 minutes to take off gels and put new ones on. Was sat waiting for 50 minutes during this time with no assistance. When asked to have refund back the lady was quick to do my nails, doing a shoddy job, gel polish is very thick on my nails so will obviously come off the next day. Staff are quite rude. Don't waste your time.

Went to this nail salon for the first time and will never be back again. The salon is a mess looks extremely unhygienic as soon as you walk in. Grime everywhere and the chairs are falling to pieces. The staff are more concerned with there phones than anything else and are all very rude. I was left wandering round the salon after my acrylics were done as the man who did them plonked himself down and went on his phone without telling me where to go or what to do. I sat down at the bar to get my nails painted and nobody acknowledged me I was waiting for ages until someone told me to pick a colour. Then when I picked one I was waiting longer for someone to decides to get off there phone and do them! My nails chipped within hours of leaving! Will never return and will tell everyone I know not to either.

Waited for over 30 mins to just get bail painted. Mentioned it to at least 2 staff but ignored. People who were waiting after me nails done and gone. What a joke ! In the end left with bare nails. Never going back. Staff rude and would not know customer service if it smacked them in the face.

Very very rude staff apart from the nice girl at the colour bar who was lovely. Lad who took my previous polish off took almost 45 minutes and I had to complain about the shape and standard. Awful place never again.

Used to go regularly about 2 years ago. First visit today in a long time and won't be back. Place is absolutely filthy. Desks covered in filing dust. Tips all over the floor. Desks are a clip, wood is starting to warp. There were hairs and polish shavings in my acrylic. The hair came off with filing but there was a mark left by the polish shavings, I had to push three times to get them to file it out. I wear mine French style. Just felt like nobody was really paying attention. Guy actually tried to stick the tip he had just sized onto the wrong nail. Awful.

Today was the 3rd time I have had my nails done here and it WILL BE THE LAST !! 1st the guy on reception was more concerned playing on his phone than seeing to customers .. Then abruptly told me to sit down there . I then was shown to a station were a guy did my tips . He then left me for 20mins I asked when there was someone coming back ! He replied shortly .. They have a number of staff walking around or on there phones ! To tip me over the edge when I was still waiting and a member of STAFF sat down next to me and started to get HER NAILS DONE . I have never met a set of unprofessional and rude staff ever ......

The staff in the metro centre are extremely rude from giving horrible looks at the customers to being completely ignorant. I will never attempt to go back for nails again I am in shock that they are still in business with such a disgusting attitude towards customers.

Staff are horrifically rude don’t pay attention to anything they’re doing and nails are terrible quality worst nails I’ve ever had, first and last time do not recommend at all

My recent visit to this place has left me in agony. Nails weakened straight away and split halfway down my nail splitting my nail beds making them bleed. My nails are an absolute mess and am left with split weak bloody nails. I can’t even go anywhere else as they hurt too much and I don’t think I could stand the chemicals they use to soak off the left over nails

My nails are appalling came last night I’ll never come again! Customer service is terrible they are ignorant! My fingers throb this morning no idea why ppl keep going for the state of the nails they do! Shocking!

My 14 year old daughter visited today with her friend, she had some Christmas money, my daughter is very well mannered(otherwise I would not let her go on her own) , my daughter hated the experience and said the staff were very rude with no manners , her nails are a mess!! £29 it cost and we are currently soaking them to get them off as her fingers have swelled and they look terrible, how can you do this to teenagers? If I was present I am sure I would not be putting a negative review!! We will never visit again

If I could leave less than this I would. Absolutely appalling customer service, burnt my fingers with the dirty machines and when contacted regarding the pain I’d been in asking for a refund (as well as the 2 and a half hour wait, lack of completion of the nails I paid for etc) I was greeted over several days with the most disgusting argumentative attitude over FB messenger denying a refund and claiming they had looked into someone I was friends with in Facebook who had also complained and called it a “coincidence” and tried to say I was bullying them, because I said they had bad service and I wanted my money back.

Literally wouldn’t even take my dog to this “establishment”.

I usually go to Hollywood nails as I get a decent service and nice nails, not today. First off the lady doing the first stage of my in fills hurt every Nail with the drill and didn't ask about shape only length so when I brought it up to the next lady I was met with a rather rude reply of we'll why didn't you ask her? Everyone who drilled my nails hurt either my nails or my skin, 2 hours later my skin around my nails is still stinging. Also my nails are oddly shaped and sized. Customer service is so rude and left feeling very un satisfied.

I always go to thorns in the town but as i was in the metrocenter today i went an got them done the lad that started my nails was the only person to speak to me the 1 that put the acrlic on never even looked at me then a lass shaped my nails an filed them but never spoke or even looked at my nails the lovely lady who painted my nails had to file them again so they were smooth pure rude .they should remember if it wasent for people goin in they would not have a job !

Hopefully the photos I’ve attached in the comments explains what I’m trying to say. I had my nails done about 7 weeks ago, after 3 weeks one of my nails has came completely off. I had to go to hospital and get local anaesthetic injected into my finger so they could attempt to get the nail off. However couldn’t remove it so had to wait until it came off. Today my whole nail has came off and I am utterly disgusted with Hollywood Nails. Their service is absolutely appalling, they don’t even acknowledge you and sit and have their conversations over you, in a different language, which is quite intimidating and they don’t concentrate on what their doing.

Got gel on natural nails yesterday. 16 pound is steep anyway but my nails have been shaped nails appallingly which I tried to get rectified while there and had three separate people attempt, I could have done it better with my feet!



Staff also couldn’t get my normal completely ordinary nail varnish off in the first place then tried to charge me 3 pound extra for a gel removal which I was like erm no pal. And to top it all off half of my thumbnail has already peeled off and I repeat this was done yesterday...

First time getting my nails done here will never go back nails have split half way (acrylic and my natural nail) bleeding and so sore... worst place I have ever been to

First time I've got my nails done and because of been spoken to awfully I never get them done again. Paid for ombre glitter and ended up with all over glitter. Staff talk to you like you are below them and my friend hand are even bleeding!

First appointment was fine then....



Ive then consequently had two very bad experiences...had to have one set taken off and re-done as the nail tips were not placed correctly and acrylic was very thick.

They did however sort the issue.



My last visit was horrendous...booked with Chan, only she wasnt there...wasnt told about this which led to two newbies hacking and sawing at me! Picking at a nail that needed to be replaced with his own thumb nail instead of soaking it off!! Filing right over my fingers and cuticles! I had to continuously ask him to thin them out and straighten them off...ended up doing it myself at home.

Due to my nail falling off the next day after having them done I wouldn’t go back here. The acrylic was to thin and the woman who had put my nail tips on hadn’t even removed the original acrylic left on my nails.�

Daughter went to get her nails done. Glue all over her coat and jeans, and nails smudged. Very unhelpful

Both me and my friend went to the metro centre hollywood nails and was totally disappointed, I asked for almond shape and the girl started doing coffin shape which now makes one hand nails shorter than the other, the paint goes over my nail and onto my skin and I can't get it off without pulling the whole gel off, some of my nails aren't painted properly and it's easy to see, they are a horrible shape. My friends nails were awful too she was going to leave them all smudged and dull. Won't be returning

Absolutely disgusting was in there 2 and half hours people getting seen before us who came in after then for a staff member to sit and talk on his phone while doing nails and then for another staff member to say that they are short staffed love my nails but unhappy about the staff being rude and the time we waited

2 hours!!!! 6 diff people to complete a set of nails. Shit customer service. One thumb nail bigger than the other. Very little care and attention. Crap set up!! Only went here coz usual place was closed. Star nails cramlington all the way!!
