Nice site with a fanatic play field, good location for visiting north Devon right off the a38 so no towing up narrow country lanes.

Lovely setting but not child friendly at all. Kids are not even allowed to bounce a ball on the way to the play area (literally!). No riding of bikes on site whatsoever.
Dated facilities but very clean.

We were a group of 2 caravans and 1 campervan. Dimensions were requested and given in advance. Arrived to be sited on small pitches with caravan tow bars protruding into the road. We asked if one of the caravans could be sited on the grass opposite us but we were told that someone had specifically requested that pitch. Someone did arrive, stayed one night and the motorhome had foreign plates!
On 4th night our friend's caravan tow bar was hit but the driver didn't stop!
No room to sit during the day. Our friends did move their car onto a vacant pitch so we could sit together but was asked to move it as people would be arriving, we were there a week and no-one arrived!
Site appeared to be used by local workforce as a base to stay during the week.
Shower block was dated and only 4 showers in ladies block and 4 in the gents block.
Won't be going back to this site.

It's like camping on your drive way! Pitches are VERY small, so small that we had about 2 square metres of space left to sit outside. The site had nothing on it apart from a shower block which I think was last refurbished in the1970's. The site is constantly monitored by the wardens which are more like the fun police! Was told to remove washing line when trying to dry towels. Absolutely no atmosphere, will not be going back.

So on arrival to this campsite what we pre-booked a week before arrival one of the staff came running out of the reception shouting you can not come in here with that. So we replied with what ???? And his reply was that (NEW 4x4 crew cab.) hilux so after a big heated discussion with his manager the manager suggested we came in and moved to the back of the campsite out of view

Visited this place last weekend and tbh wasn't impressed... The toilets and showers were clean... Campsite was decent but there was nothing to do there. It's in the middle of nowhere had to wait 2 hours for each bus and travel is expensive there. I like the country side but not that much there was just nothing there and you have to walk miles for a shop... Was told there was a swimming pool here and there wasn't and also that there was a beach nearby which I have to say was false advertisement.. Staff were friendly and helpful so I'll give it that but I will not be returning and I will not be recommending this site.

Fantastic staff, fabulous views, amazing facilities. We stayed for 8 nights and were very sad to leave. The boys loved playing table tennis and looking for wildlife in the wildflower meadow adjacent to the camping field. We chose this site for many reasons including the facilities and the fact there is no clubhouse. A short walk up the road is a garage with a well stocked shop. The A38 is close by and means you are 2hrs travel from most of Devon and north Cornwall. We will be back for much longer next year!!

Excellent campsite. We used it as a one night stop over and will be back. Good facilities, nice pitches and great park for the kids. Recommend the Highwayman's Haunt, 5 mins walk down a footpath, too.
