Only Stayed for one night to christen my newly purchased Motor Home . On dropping down the drive to the site we my partner and I both sead what a lovely site. !!!!
Then on booking in we were shown to our pitch which got a big fat WOW.
To our mind it was the BEST pitch on the site right up against the pond nice and level so no messing there with levelling up..
We both wanted to stay the wk it was a REALY hard pull to drive away from they pitch lover it loved it loved it WE WILL BE BACK .
Highly recommend this site well pleased.

Great site for families... Play area, steam to splash in and woods to explore. Friendly helpful staff.

Lovely campsite with decent facilities, onsite shop and cafe (who will deliver food to your tent!). Access to the riverbank, lots of nice walks, and Holmfirth only 5 mins away. Great for the kids too, there's a park, archery lessons and ducks to feed - and loads of room to run around. Campsite owners are very friendly and helpful. Only downside is that there appear to be only two washing up stations leading to occasional queues.

This is a great place to go. Very friendly and very tidy. Things to join in on site. And plenty to see if you want a walk. Will be going back again.

Was MUCH smaller of a site than expected, had a car and a tent in the ultra quiet section which was about as big as my back garden and situated less than 15 feet from people's actual back gardens. It felt like we were tresspassing being here! They would struggle to fit any more than 2 or 3 people on the entire 'field'. Although being in the ultra quiet section its right next to a public thoroughfare across the stream and a lot of the kids staying here like to use the road and entrance to the quiet section as a makeshift climbing frame and playground making it not so ultra quiet. Toilet facilities gave the impression that they're not often maintained and are quite outdated in comparison to the fancy palm activated digital number locks on them! Staff, well the only person we saw who works here was really nice and the onsite shop has pretty much everything you could need. Enjoyed our stay by all means but probably wont be back as we didn't enjoy Huddersfield at all and the campsite was far from what we expected.

If you're looking for cozy and basic you can't go too far wrong especially for the cheap price.

Perfect campsite and facilities.

This site had everything, and was the epitome of camping excellence. It's clear that a lot of effort has gone into making the experience as perfect as possible.

I was camped in the Ultra Quiet area, had a field to myself, parked and pitched up just inches from the river, it was everything I could have asked for. The staff on site were very friendly and helpful, as were the guests. The toilet facilities were immaculate and the amiable cleaner even helped to keep my dog occupied while I used them.

There's a shop, toilets, showers, baths, 2 playgrounds, a river, beautiful meadows, woodlands, electric charging point for cars, a central lake for fishing or watching the resident friendly ducks and geese (there are kingfishers, herons, woodpeckers and many more around the site).

There is so much to do and see that I doubt I experienced half of it in my one night visit, I wish I could have stopped the clock and spent a few weeks there recuperating from the outside world, I absolutely cannot wait to go back!

very unorganised and tatty - very old fashioned toilets and showers - lots of seasonal vans that have sunk and moldy - however it's at the side of a river so quite picturesque

The web site says that the pitches are all individual and unique. We were however assigned a pitch on a hard gravelled area that looked like a car park. The few genuinely individual pitches around the lake can only accommodate smaller units and you may not be able to have your car on your pitch as there is no room. We were told by an individual who said that she was one of the owners that we had parked our car on the wrong side of the pitch when we had not been told which side of the pitch to park on and the pitches were poorly marked. Most of the pitches are in the "car park" area or in one of two fields. The fishing is not worth bothering with and if you try to use one of the swims you have the road immediately behind you. The river area is nice but the site needs clear and consistent management and is not the quiet retreat indicated by the web site.

Excellent site with superb amenities at reasonable rates.
I would highly recommend this campsite.

Amazing campsite, really well looked after. The kids playground, river for paddling, duck pond and picturesque walks make this one of the best I've been to in the UK. Huge thanks to whoever runs this place. X
