Dear God Thank You for giving our children the opportunity to experience this love in receiving the Sacrament for the first time. May your Eucharist presence keep him/her ever free from sin, fortified in faith,pervaded by love for God and neighbor, and fruitful in virtue, that he/she may continue to receive You throughout life. Amen
Mary’s Meals will be coming to our church in a couple of weeks’ time to take away your unwanted clothing and bedding (no duvets or pillows please) Over the next few weeks please collect your unwanted clothes and put them in tied sacks. Then before 12 noon on Sunday 19th May bring them with you when you come to Mass. & leave them in the Baptistery at the back of the church. (Please do NOT bring them to the Priest House) Not only will you be getting rid of un-wanted clothes/bedding and giving yourself a little more space but you will also benefit a really worthwhile charity. Mary’s Meals feeds children one good meal every day at school in over 12 countries. Because of our low costs we can do this for as little as £13.90 per child per year!

Today we are having 'A Day with Mary' at our church. Based on the message at Fatima in 1917. A Day With Mary is a lay-driven apostolate. This apostolate organizes public days of prayer, held in Catholic churches and shrines. A Day with Mary is open to everyone and is free. You are welcome to join the event for a little while or for the whole day. Bring a packed lunch and come along today.

Easter Vigil Mass begins in darkness, a fire is lit at the back of the church, which is blessed, and from it the great Paschal Candle is lit, then the flame from this candle is taken out to the whole church .
