About Our Nurseries
Holyrood Day Nurseries are the North West’s premier providers of early years care and education. Located around Greater Manchester and Liverpool the nurseries offer exceptional service standards tailored to meet the needs of individual families, business and the wider community.
The nurseries are each unique yet all operate to the same standards of excellence, delivering an exceptional level of service through continuous reflection and development.
Holyrood Day Nurseries have been established and trusted centres for early education in the North West for over a decade and have won local and national awards in recognition of their exceptional quality standards. Staff in the nurseries are passionate and committed and have created an atmosphere of care, respect, learning and fun which radiates throughout these happy establishments.
The nurseries are located in a variety of properties ranging from purpose built childcare facilities to converted stone villas, former doctor’s surgeries, pubs and even a police station! Each has been carefully designed to retain property characteristics, create bright, spacious play areas and develop an appreciation and awareness of the environment.
Each Holyrood Nursery strives to be a valued part of its wider community and excellent use is made of the many fabulous local facilities including parks, gardens and libraries. Our children are regularly to be seen out walking with their Walkodile or enjoying the fresh air in our quality prams and buggies.
The nurseries are recognised Investors in People and ECO schools centres.
Holyrood Day Nurseries operate in partnership with local authority education departments to offer funded nursery education grant sessions.

The Bertram Nursery Group are hosting a ‘Wear It Pink’ Day across our nurseries on the 12th of October to raise money and awareness for Breast Cancer Care – the only UK-wide specialist breast cancer support charity, for Breast Cancer Awareness Month this October 2018.
Breast Cancer Care is the Only specialist UK wide charity providing support for woman, men, family and friends affected by breast cancer. We’ve been caring for them, supporting them and campaigning on their b...ehalf since 1973. Today, we continue to offer a unique range of support including reliable information, one-to-one support over the phone and online from nurses and people who’ve been there. We also offer local group support across the UK. From the moment someone notices something isn’t right, through their treatment and beyond, we’re there to help people affected by breast cancer feel more in control.
We hope you will join us in supporting such a wonderful charity and all the people affected by breast cancer.

Calling all parents! We have some exciting news! For the month of September, we will be hosting a month full of different events and activities to raise money for Claire's House Children's Hospice and we cant wait for you all to get involved! Details of the different events are to follow! We are all very excited about this and we hope you enjoy what we have in store for you! As always, we love to hear your opinions so if you have any ideas of different fundraising activities don't be shy and send them our way!
Holyrood Astley have new Forest School Saturday Sessions beginning in October 2018!
The sessions will be starting on Saturday 27th October, for ages 3yrs - 11yrs. The sessions are in 2 hour slots from 10am - 4pm.
... The fee for the sessions is £48 for 6 Saturdays and needs to be paid in advance.
We ask that anyone interested should contact the nursery directly to book places on: 01942-897-739 (option 1).

holyrood haydock is a fabulous place and both my boys love going and learning new things cudnt ask for better staff and a safe environment for my kids to be in while I'm working x
The staff at Holyrood Swinton are the most welcoming and warm staff. I feel so happy we chose this nursery and our little girl has exceeded and developed kntonsuch a polite happy child
Our eldest has been at Holyrood Castleton for 2 years, (since he was 15 months old). He just finished there yesterday as we moved a few months ago and he'll be going to a pre school closer to home in September.
We're so sorry to be leaving Holyrood. Our son absolutely loves it there and has come on leaps and bounds thanks to wonderful staff team. Jackie and Isobel have both played huge roles in his development and we can't thank them enough!
My son went to the Astley nursery it was fabulous, just booked my one year old into the Salford nursery the staff are fantastic. I feel totally secure leaving my son next week as I know he is in great hands xx
My son as started nursery in Haydock and the staff and other children are so friendly and lovely I'm so happy I choose this school they let my son do a trial run and now hes ready for full hours I'm so happy with staff for making my son feel at home so thank you
My little girl started at Holyrood Prestwich when she was around 17months and now 2 and absolutely loves it, can't fault it one bit. Her key worker Chloe is amazing and has a really close bond with the little ones and her development is coming along so fast each time she has a day in nursery she learns something new!
My daughter loves going to nursery. I was so scared to leave her with a bunch of strangers but all the staff made us both feel welcome and secure. Maya settled right in and now looks forward to nursery everyday. Also, maya has eczema so needs creams applying and the girls are great with this! Thank you holyrood prestwich!!
My daughter is one nearly two and my eldest daughter is 8 and attends breakfast club they both attend Holyrood Swinton . All the staff are exceptional and are amazing with my daughters. They are very well cared for and have an amazing bond with the staff . Thank you Holyrood Swinton !! Xx
My daughter goes to Holyrood Salford and loves it. The staff are all very friendly and helpful, and my little girl has come on so far with the wonderful care they provide. I can't imagine sending her anywhere else!
My daughter Ella loves it here. She's only been going a couple of weeks, but as soon as we walk through the door a big smile creeps across her face. All the staff are fantastic. Especially Lindsay in the baby room and Becky the deputy manager.

The staff are wonderful and the nursery is managed exceptionally well.
In my experience staff develop a strong bond with the children helping them feel safe and cared for. Watching my Daughter progress so well is a testament to all the staff who care for her. I would highly recommend this nursery to anyone. Keep up the good work! :D
Love the Swinton Holyrood Nursery. My son has been settled since his first day. Always very informative with SMS messages and emails with updates on what’s coming up and what we need to be informed about. My son loves his key workers and everyone at the nursery. Very friendly staff all the time and very flexible and understanding when needed
Holyrood salford is an amazing nursery the girls are fantastic go above and beyond with the children there both my girls have and do attend and absolutely love it. And i have full confidence in all the girls there to take good care of them and they do. Each and every staff member are lovely helpful and caring and are a credit to your company x
Holyrood Hope is a fantastic nursery, with an amazing team of dedicated staff. My son and daughter both attend, and have truely fun filled days. The staff are always thinking of ingenious ways to introduce new skills to the children.
Holyrood Bury. Kate age 3. Alex age 5. Holly age 7.
We love going to Holyrood, the fun, the food, the challenges both physical and educational make it an exceptional and enriching environment for my childrens development needs, the hardest challenge as parents, is passing your childs wellbeing and care to someone else...at Holyrood Bury i leave my child, sometimes sad at my departure, but safe in the knowkedge they are safe, happy and exceptionaly well cared for. Great staff and routines make Holyrood Bury a truely Happy experience!!

Holyrood Liverpool: Friendly staff & nice set up but we had problems; our bottles where not returned, our baby came home with nappy rash and to top it off she wasn't given her lunch time milk one day as she was on 3 bottles at the time.
When asked about it, we got an apology as they had just forgot to do it. For us this wasn't good enough, so we stopped going from this point.
