Excellent facilities quite close to york town centre would recommend

Loved the peace and quiet in this secluded area. We found the working farm a real treat, the farmer Gordon let us go scrumping for as many apples and berries as we liked. The site wasn't neat and pruned like some sites but we found the whole experience a refreshing change. Ash lodge couldn't have been better value for money. We didn't pay luxury price so we didn't expect a dishwasher and washing machine but it was comfy, clean and was a perfect upgrade from our usual caravan. I loved the BBQ, my partner loved the comfy bed, the dog just loved the local walks and none of us wanted to leave. 4 out of 5 due to limited facilities on site but the best value we have found in a long time....we loved it.
Outstanding caravan & camping site set in beautiful surroundings yet only a short drive into the fabulous city of York. Excellent facilities & run by some of the nicest people we've met - probably explains why we're in our 30th year of visiting!!
It's so peaceful here . The cattle are great too!
Great location with great walks for the dogs and the kids with friendly and helpful staff on hand all over the Christmas break.
Great place
Loved staying here, it was so relaxing and so much space. It was such a friendly place, with helpful owners. The main reasons we hope to return this year.
It is also perfect for getting into York, and York Designer Outlet, plus perfect to hit the roads for attractions such as Flamingoland and roads to Scarbourgh and Hull (for The Deep), missing most of the heavy city traffic.
We are hoping to return this year again.
A fantastic campsite in a great location with lots of areas to walk nearby. A bus stop right outside the campsite so its great for visiting York if you fancy a drink and leaving the car behind. We've visited many times in the past and look forward to returning again soon. Would highly recommend this site.
