Homebase - High Wycombe London Road

Not good. Items showing in stock online were not and items in store were badly stacked and incorrectly priced.

Bar far, this is the dingiest and worst organised homebase I've ever been in.

Homebase I always found expensive compared to other DIY stores. And the choice is limited. But lets be honest, for the size of the store compared to B&Q up the road they do what they can in the space provided. Today for me it was logs and kindling to get me out of trouble. There was only one member of staff around I could see on customer services. She was friendly, helpful and knew her way round the store. She also manned (or ladyied) the till and was efficient and served with a smile. I got what I wanted and happy with the service I recieved. So my experience was good for me this time but if it was busy I could see a potential problem for others.

Totally overpriced Chinese rubbish. Also wanted a large combination lock. £27 - went on eBay and the exact same make and model was £9.99 + free p&p free.
The place was almost empty and it is no surprise they are shutting branches.

As an ordinary DIY, I can find almost everything thing I need there. It's a bit high on the price sometimes but for a good quality. Parking is always available.

Turned up for firewood having been told by another store that HW had plenty of stock. Firstly they told me to check 3 different areas of the store, which I did with no joy. They checked their stock and it indicated 135 bags. They then had to recheck the areas (because 10kg bags are quite difficult to find?). Finally they look in the stockroom to find 3 full pallets. However they don't have anyone in store who can operate a fork lift so can't give me any! 😤 Wasted trip. Useless staff.

Rushed job , didnt clean car properly.Had to point out dirt. Still dirty afterwards. never again and that goes for all my company cars that use the services.

Very impressed had exactly what I was looking for good prices too outdoor storage box good selection pleasant staff at till too

Love it there wide range just no one on tills

Staff are as elusive as Santas little helpers! They are all huddled out the back somewhere, no doubt drinking endless cups of tea. When you do manage to track someone down, they clearly don't want to do their job.

It has a great range of items and is not usually too busy. The staff are helpful aswell.

looked for wasp killer online, Homebase was selling a product went to local store nothing on shelf. Asked at help desk they said there was 13 units in stock but still in warehouse and not available they helpfully offered to check stock in an alternative store. I went to the next Homebase and had exactly the same thing happen again. No stock on shelf, not even a ticket on the shelf but their database showing product in store. What a bunch of muppets I now remember why I never tend to use Homebase.
