Wow, What a find!!

We popped in for a light lunch and both Jo & I agreed that what we had was exceptional.

Not only was the food unusual, delicious, well cooked and presented, with quite possibly, the best homemade hash browns I have ever tasted , the interior design was great too.

We love the fact that the whole place is designed around things that are personal to the owners.



VERY rare to find such a team of staff that obviously, really care about what they are doing .

When we visit the Lakes, we always have to make a trip to this wonderful cafe. The coffee is wonderful (not too bitter or strong) and the choice on the menu is just right for this type of establishment. Breakfast is a particular favourite of ours, especially the ‘eggs benny’ and hash browns.

What a pity we are not local to here as we would visit often. We called in for a spot of breakfast before heading home after holidaying in the area. We couldn’t of chosen better. Yes we had to wait a while and it was a bit pricer then other places but it was so worth it. Lovely coffee and I think I would say some of the best eggs benedict iv eaten. The eggs were nicely cooked as were my husbands . We shared hash browns which were really good. We would definitely eat here again when we visit the area.

We were looking for a cafe we had never tried before on our final day in the Lakes before heading back home to West Yorkshire. We had some tough critics in our group but were all bowled over by your food :) We loved the surroundings, beverages and special Christmassy menu. We all agreed we have found our new favourite place to eat in the Lakes and will most certainly be back to try everything else on the menu - the only thing we regret is not finding you at the start of our holiday rather than the end!!!

We went to windermere for a day out the three of us just decided by chance to go here. I can honestly say its the best coffee shop I have ever been to and the lunch was the most tasty i have ever had. I didn't really know what i was ordering but was very good value for money and there white hot chocolate was amazing. Definatly worth a visit i will certainly be back again. Staff were all wonderful

We popped in today for our first visit and loved the place! We were greeted with a warm and friendly welcome. A table became available quite quickly. Despite being busy our food and drinks came in good time. Great value for money. Loved the festive brunch menu.

Visited yesterday for first time while on holiday in Windermere. Staff very friendly and knowledgable (my daughter is coeliac). Thoroughly enjoyed our bacon and egg sarnies and my daughter loved her GF fancy hash browns and chocolate brownie! I had a try and can honestly say best brownie I've ever had! We will be back next time we visit the Lakes 😊

I think that pretty much sums it up....

Service was first class and the range of cakes where so tempting. I had the maple and peacan cake and struggled to finish it but it was amazing so was my hot chocolate definatley be back! It came highly recommended from a local shop owner

Recommend to us by the Barista at The Moon & Sixpence in Cockermouth. Lovely atmosphere lovely staff lovely coffee (Carvetti) lovely cake! Not much else to say really other than we will definitely be in again next time we're down that way!

Outstanding management of a long queue on a wet Sunday morning... we were greeted on the street and given a warm welcome. We love the menu and love this place!!!

It was a fantastic two days in Windemere.

On day 2 after we watched Ziggy swim 10 miles of Lake Windermere.



We visited this cafe in search for a lunch time meal.



My partner got the "Eggs Benny" from the menu which looked and tasted amazing, then my meal came, " homeground sandwich".



This sandwich had sourdough bread, avocado, tomato, bacon, home made "mouthwatering" hash browns and topped with fried egg. A mountain of a sandwich to which I devoured.



If anyone is in the area I suggest you try this quirky and tasty cafe where the staff are fantastic.

Excellent cafe and one I visit a little too often... oops! Excellent main meals - favourites include heuvos rancheros, homeground sarnie, generally all the avocado yumminess and the new dish with wild mushrooms and hazelnuts is delicious. Awesome range of cakes and for the regular like myself I love that there are always new cakes. The filter coffee is excellent too.

Consistently Perfect!

The food is always amazing.

The staff are always lovely.

The place always has a great atmosphere.

Called in following a recommendation from our favourite coffee shop in Cockermouth, The Moon and Sixpence. We were not disappointed, Carvetti Coffee, expert baristas, gorgeous cake, value for money and given free scones on departure due to 'end of day' surplus! Would definately recommend this place if you are a true lover of coffee � x

Been recommended to come here several times and today finally got round to it! The coffee is the best I've ever tasted, caramel flavours from the beans and smooth tones. Wish I didn't put sugar in! And the food! Absolutely amazing, love the NZ twist on the brunch items. 10/10 would recommend!!

This place is always busy and that's a good sign. However, even though the food is good, the wait times are terrible. Is the good food worth the wait? Probably not.
