Homeopathy Research Institute Description

In terms of scientific research, homeopathy is a relatively new and unexplored field. As a consequence, there are many important, unanswered questions, particularly in terms of how homeopathy works and which conditions it can treat.

Researchers worldwide have begun exploring these questions, but more research is essential if we are to find the definitive answers both patients and healthcare providers need.

The Homeopathy Research Institute (HRI) was created to address this need for high quality scientific research in homeopathy. We use our resources and expertise to foster new projects and to improve the quality of research being carried out.

The Scientific Advisory Committee, made up of leading international researchers in the field, provides us with strong foundations essential to our work. The Committee enables HRI to operate with confidence, generating research of the highest quality and developing ever-stronger links throughout the international academic community.

The HRI facilitates both clinical and fundamental research; information about our active research projects can be found at

The HRI also aims to inform the homeopathy debate by providing objective information on the research already in existence in the field. An open access database of homeopathy research and a homeopathy researchers' directory are available on our website. Our quarterly e-newsletter disseminates the latest published research, whilst consultancy is also offered to outside individuals and organisations interested in homeopathy research.

The charity relies entirely on donations to carry out its work.
