My husband took his old/ancient Dutch bike to be repaired. The pedal back coaster brake and gears had broken during a tour of Sussex. Gavin took on the challenge and rebuilt a new back wheel around a two speed coaster hub. He had approached two other shops with no success. The repaired bike is running well. First visit here today. I needed a bottom bracket tool or adapter for a hollowtech 2 bottom bracket.
The guy said that he didn't stock the item, which was fair enough. I asked him how much it would cost to tighten it for me once I had put it in and he said "bottom brackets are £22.95 for fitting!!!" This would be fine if I needed my old one taken out, and everything put back on the new one.

I called another (not to mention any names, but near Ashford town centre) and they told me to just bring the bike in and they would tighten it. It didn't even take 1min. They didn't even want any payment for it.

Brilliant service and very good value for money. The man is really friendly and flexible. We turned up just at last minute before he was due to close as I had just broken a spoke out on a ride and he gladly took the bike in and promised it would be fixed the next day and that I would be notified by text, which all happened. The price was very reasonable and the man even took off some old pedals off my bike, which I could not undo myself, so I could fit some new ones for which he did not charme anything. I shall go back there again whenever I need servicing on my bike, parts or buy anything I need for my bikes.

We went today just to look at bikes for husband and myself we found Gavin home wood very helpful he understood what we wanted no pressure to buy good advice we did buy 2 bikes and looking forward to collecting them on Friday as 1 needed to be ordered
