3 years to the day after we hosted our first event with Rachel McFarlane, we are back, dare we say bigger and better than before, in a new home and with another VERY special PA and some of the scenes favourite DJs.
HomoRetro to bring you a night of musical indulgence, a House hoodang celebrating over two decades of club classics, lost weekends, magical mayhem and a rich clubbing heritage.
Our playlist is simple. . . anthemic House music that epitomised the escapist, unifying nature of Clubland and we draw our music from the rich back catalogue of over two decades of House Music. Our journey will take us from the earliest vocal House music gems through some of the most recognisable piano riffs, basslines and vocals.
Drawing from record boxes jam-packed with music that will give you goosebumps, put a big smile on your face and make you want to scream for joy, our mission is to give you a night to remember, a nod to the clubs and club nights from the late 80's to the 00's (you know the ones) that are now etched in our collective memories.
Performing a very special PA on the night is one of dance musics finest talents, House music royalty, and a lady who has vocalled on a host of the most memorable, era-defining House music anthems. . . Kathy Brown. For us this is a real OMG moment and we hope you are as excited as we are about this.
On the decks will be some of the most recognised DJs from Manchester's gay scene of the last twenty years.
