Honest Burgers

Wow - what an experience! These guys understand excellent service. Came for the bottomless brunch at the Reading branch for my birthday and was blown away with the amazing customer service, excellent food and just generally making my whole day unforgettable. Tomas and Holly were just the best servers ever. The whole team are warm, welcoming and bend over backwards to make your visit. Made me feel super special and ensured I had the best day, nothing was too much. I really cannot thank them enough for everything they did. Even the special extras for me and my group, not expected and really made the difference between good service & excellent service. Highly recommend to everyone and anyone and I’ll definitely be back - a lot! Thank you for making my birthday the best day ever �

We popped in for a late lunch and were warmly welcomed and seated by the waitress who served us throughout our time there. I had the Honest Burger while my partner had the Fried Chicken burger which isn’t usually on their menu, but is being offered for a limited period. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meals and couldn’t have asked for better service from the waitress whose name we were unable to get. She was friendly, talkative and very accommodating. We will be returning in the future to try out other items on the menu!

We came here for the first time on 10/04/18 for a meal and cocktails when we first entered we were welcomed by the manager! You could see they had a big party of travellers which were having a few beers rowdy but at the point harmless everyone just there to have a good time! We sat down near them and it was fine we had a lovely lady waitress with pink hair I believe nothing was an issue for her and she helped us choose our drinks! We ordered service was very quick and was one of the best burgers I have had! While we were eating the rowdy party turned nasty and I just felt for all the staff they were uncontrollable the manager handled this situation very well! Eventually they left without paying of course! The manager came over to us to apologise and thank us for being so patient being from retail we understood him and would not let it put a downer on this great restaurant! The manager paid our bill for us which we did not expect it was not his or his staffs fault we were very grateful for this we gave him and his staff a tip to go out for drinks after the horrible evening they had!! Keep being great and don’t let horrible customers put you guys down! We will def be back soon! X

Visited today for the 1st time.

We were welcomed on a horrid rainy day by happy, smiley, chatty staff.

We ate the most Delicious burgers and chips - the kids were blown away!

Myself and my daughter are coeliac and near enough the whole menu is Gluten Free.

Will most definitely return!

The staff actually enjoy the job and want to serve you. Haven't seen that in ages.

The dj even showed my kids the decks etc.

The bar staff made my kids feel all grown up at the bar even asking what they had been doing all day.

The shakes were great.

The music wasn't to loud.

Bit pricey but the atmosphere made up for that.

The one thing that set this above the rest of the burger restaurants we have been to was the service. Although the selection is small, both burger types were very tasty and the “skin chips” were very nice. The friendly staff made the experience in my opinion. Would go back again purely for the ambient setting and the attention to customer service :)

So as a back story this was my 1st trip out in the wheelchair after fracturing my ankle and breaking my leg before Christmas! We wanted to go here the wkend of my accident so made the trip out today and were we so glad we did! Staff were amazing, great with sorting out the ramp and immediately making us feel welcome. For someone who is new to using a wheelchair, this was a grest experience and demonstrated excellent customer service. The burgers themselves were honest and delicious, fantastic you are able to order them medium rare as well! I had the special guacamole burger and really enjoyed it along with spicy wings and the must try of the bacon gravy. A special mention to Holly who was truly fantastic and made our visit!

My wife and I loved our first experience at honest burgers in Reading. The brunch breakfast was great, service and quality fantastic..had a good afternoon drinking. 90mins unlimited alcohol meant we had plently of time to relax and eat without being rushed. We even went to the bar to finish off what we didnt drink.. fab afternoon. Recommend.

I went yesterday as it marked the anniversary of an unpleasant incident and had decided I was going to treat myself. I particularly liked that they brought me samples of the ales on offer so I could decide properly which to have. I went for the full Honest, which has proper Cheddar and not the processed cheese and smoked bacon. It came in a rather splendid looking bun and the accompanying chips were very nice indeed. The potatoes had been scrubbed rather than peeled and this certainly, for me, added to their appeal. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the service excellent.

I am blown away with the wonderful staff and service at Honest Burger!

I fell over (silly flip flops) on the pavement outside the restaurant. Within seconds the staff were at my side, with a first aid kit, offering support and selfless hospitality.



I recommend falling outside this venue!!! Thank you Team Honest Burger for making my painful knee, a brighter experience.

Great food and fantastic to see that everything on the menu was gluten free. My wife and daughter are both celiacs and menu choices can be limiting for them. Marco, our greeter, could not have done more to make us welcome and explain about one of the owners also being celiac. Gluten free food can be very unappetising (and expensive) but their onion rings were fantastic. We will be going back, without a doubt.

From the first smile and great welcome me and my family had never had great service like this, all other restaurants and eateries in reading should go and see how it’s done properly. The menu is just what you want not too many mains with a handful of we’ll chosen starters and that’s it just pure honest food that tastes great and a burger of the month which was amazing. A big thank you to our waitress Jasmine and the warm and friendly welcome from Dan. We will be back to try the different burgers and I’m bringing some work colleagues in during the week for a lunch meeting.

Friendly welcome. Lovely booth table by the window. I would recommend the Reading burger � and glorious rosemary chips. My husband had the sweetcorn burger and said it stood up to other veggie burgers he's had. Our friends enjoyed their burgers, served medium rare, at their requests. Pleased to see the icecream sandwich on the menu. None of us had room for it! Great cocktails served small, medium and large. A nice touch.

Friendly hosts and great atmosphere. Enjoy locally brewed beer with the personal touch on burgers. They cook them as you want them. Marco and the rest of the staff are very attentive to your needs and nothing is too much. Try them once and you'll go back. We need one in Swindon though. �

Amazing staff & food. All staff friendly. 1st time me and husband visited this place & we loved it. Meat was moist & delicious and burger bun was soft & fresh , I'm getting hungry talking about it. Rosemary chips were nice also. Good sized portions. Lattes were nice as Well,better than some coffee shops. We visited this place on a busy early Saturday Afternoon & the staff were very welcoming-even tho there was a ten minute wait for a table-enough time to enjoy a latte...we look forward to our next visit.

Amazing burgers and great customer service.

After a technical fault with the computer system, our order did not go though, we waited nearly an hour for our food but they were very apologetic and we was given our meal free of charge.. excellent customer service. Thank you.

Went in today for early dinner. Fairly busy around 4pm so had a 5 minute wait or so but did clear a bit after we were seated.



I went for the chilli burger, my wife had the guacamole burger, and had a side of onion rings too.



Food was enjoyable but unfortunately despite requesting my wifes burger to be well done it still came out medium (pink) as advertised. She still tried finishing it without saying anything but was a bit too pink for her liking to finish the whole burger, but we both agreed food was good on the whole. Chips and onion rings all really tasty.



We did bring the under cooked burger to the staffs attention and a more senior member appologised for the error, said we could have one to take away or could have had a fresh one cooked but in the end just took the whole dish off the bill, which he didnt really need to do.



Pleased with the visit despite the error and wouldnt put me off returning.

Popped in here on a very hot and sunny Sunday afternoon. We were sat quickly on a table near the back of the restaurant and I gave my husband the bench seat. I had a school style chair which was fine but I did feel a little stiff after the meal (cushion would be nice addition)

My husband opted for the Korean special & I had the #beef option both burgers came with chips and I had mine a little bit cooked more ...they were lovely tasty burgers in the softest buns and the onion rings were huge!

The waitress was lovely and helped go through the options. There is a retro look to the restaurant and this is even carried down to the toilets! Personally I found the music a little loud but this is the only niggle apart from the chairs...
