On Monday 4 March we're hosting an Honesty Box Day at the Bond St restaurant which just opened last year.
So, you order at normal from 11:30–16:30 and instead of paying your bill, you donate whatever you can to three local charities chosen by you.
To let us know who you think we should be supporting, please select that you're interested in this event, and leave us a comment with the names of the charity (or charities!) to submit your nomination.
... We'll be randomly selecting three charities from your nominations on Thursday 14 February.
On the day, each guest will cast a vote for their chosen charity, and all three charities will receive a proportion of the donations based on their share of the total votes.

If you don't know about us, Honest Burgers started here in Brighton in 2010. We don’t for a second think you’ll remember us though. We were working as waiters at Riddle & Finns and made that classic mistake of thinking it’s easy to run a food business. After a few beers in The Bath Arms, we agreed to put in £3,000 each for a tent, a grill and a fryer and served our first burgers at Brighton Food Festival. Easy!
Turns out it was a lot harder than we thought. But we didn’t stop. We met some great people who helped us open a tiny restaurant in Brixton, and then a few more. Eight years later we’re back here opening a restaurant in Brighton. To say we’re chuffed is an understatement.

Crazy how Westcombe Dairy turned this old telephone box into a functioning beech smoker for their cheddar.

Just wanted to take a moment to say what a great establishment. Me and 9 friends rocked up yesterday, starving after a 5k run.... the manager was AMAZING.... seated all of us together with the minimum of fuss.... very attentive even with a fussy 6 year old and a strict veggie.... I had the special for the day... the rib man... honestly can say it was the best burger I'd ever had.

Heard about this place from friends. My partner and I went there on Friday night. The food excellent. The team on the night were very attentive, has there were no sits when we had arrived, so we had to wait outside, the staff kept a watchful eye on us so we didn't lose our turn for a table. Thank you. Brilliant night.

10/10 for meat, brioche bun and rosemary seasoned fries. Onion rings are banging and I don't even like onion rings.



They just need some thick shakes and dessert options but even without that it's still a 10/10 experience.

Been here loads and always get consistent service and quality of food. Its not meant to be fine dining just burgers and chips and they do it just how it should be done. Its small and busy but you won't have to wait too long for a seat.

Amazing food, Coeliac friendly.. feel normal... x

Lovely chimichuri (not sure how you spell it) burger

Hello honestburgers. Food was wonderful as always. Odd experience when I went to pay my bill. I tried to add a tip electronically when paying by card. The waiter asked me to cancel my transaction and re-enter the cost of my meal including the tip I intended to give. And not then give a tip. Odd. I've never had this happen before, is this a way of avoiding tax or just an odd occurrence?
