I am planning some ceramics evening classes in the art of scraffitto and how to make your own rock pool dish.....so I found some friends willing to be my 'quinea pigs' for few hours.....they done a great job of making some beautiful work......just looking forward to the finished glazed pieces in a few weeks......

Were ready to start the potters wheel lessons again, below are some dates for you so if your interested then shout because they get booked up quickly.... We tailor for beginners and improvers. 3 hours @ £45 each, we have 2 wheels available:

The first recycled fused glass workshop was held on Saturday, with 6 lovely students we made some stunning pieces of work.....here are some images.

Jenny christened the new studio yesterday.... after 5 months of waiting to get back on the wheel of steel... lol.... Jenny rents the potters wheel off us to make her lovely creations.....

Its been rather quiet at the Honeypie Handmade HQ...but that is because we moved house and we had to build another workshop, but now were ready to open the doors and let the creativeness begin again. First though I must thank David for all his hard work in making the new workshop happen, the late nights, long days, digging trenches, smashing up concrete, laying the new concrete.....aching backs, shoulders...sore knees...working in the heatwave to get this done for me ( I defi...nitely picked a goodun ....)..and not forgetting our lovely friend Jack who owns 'Christchurch Electrical' who done all the electric for us in his spare time(which he doesn't have much off because he is soooo busy)....you boys are a hard working couple of lovely fellas.......Thank you...xxxx

Recycled fused glass workshop Saturday 3rd February or 17th March 10 til 4 pm Ipswich £55 returners and £65 for new comers
... This workshop is designed as a fun and enjoyable introduction to the basic methods of kiln formed glass by fusing and slumping. It is a practical course combining kinaesthetic and visual learning styles to develop skills through a variety of teaching methods.
The workshop is tailored for beginners and improvers.
The day will take the format of demonstrations, and a selection of 3D & 2D examples. The workshop emphasis will be on making and experimenting with re-usable, compatible materials.

POTTERS WHEEL LESSONS Since we have had a lot of response for our potters wheel lessons we thought we would post some spare dates for those who are still interested: Saturday January 27th 10 til 1-pm Sunday January 28th 10 til 1pm Saturday February 24th 10 til 1pm... Saturday March 10th 10 til 1pm £45 per person and we have 2 wheels available. Please note that these are a one off lesson,your welcome to book more if that is what you want....we just start of with a taster lesson to see if you like it. If these dates/times do not suit then do get in touch as I am sure we can sort something out.
