Due to (extremely!) popular demand we're extending our opening hours. We are now open Monday-Saturday from 9.30 until 6pm. Please note that on Bank Holiday Monday we will be open from 10am until 6pm, as will the rest of the Arndale Centre. We look forward to seeing you!

RELOCATION, RELOCATION, RELOCATION!! Following today's meeting we can now announce that your favourite Harry Potter shop will CLOSE tomorrow (Saturday 11th August) at 5pm and will RE-OPEN at 9.30 (hopefully!) on Monday 20th August at our new home: Unit L18 (behind Sports Direct) of Manchester's Arndale Centre. We are just inside the Shudehill entrance and will share the premises with Shopmobility Manchester, which we have also acquired :-) Shopmobility Stockport will continue as normal. If anybody wants to lend a hand packing or unpacking next week please let us know!!

After the problems of the last few weeks we are finally getting sorted! Thank you ALL for your patience. We will be open as usual this week EXCEPT for Friday afternoon when we have an important meeting. We will be CLOSED ALL NEXT WEEK while we relocate. We hope to re-open on Monday 20th August in our new home (yes, we'll be open Mon-Sat). We will be restocking and slightly re-aligning so that we only bring you the best, high-quality Harry Potter merchandise at the lowest prices we can. (If we wouldn't buy it ourselves why should we expect you to?) If you want to help - come and buy this week! It saves us having to move it :-)

Was in Hoot today my girls had a great time looking around. The things they had were great. If you a Harry Potter fan you will luv it. There section of Game of Thrones stuff is also good. There isn't a lot but what they have is great. We came out with a Voldemort wand, Slytherin bag and a Game of Thrones wine cup. It was hard to come away empty handed.

Visited Hoot this afternoon with my son for his 9th birthday. I think we could’ve spent the whole day there if we had the time. My son is made up with his Lucius Malfoy cane/wand and is planning another visit to spend the rest of his birthday money. Thank you for letting him look through all the Wands and for the fabulous customer service. We will be back soon.

Such an amazing shop with amazing people that run it! Always helpful when it comes to choosing gifts for a certain someone who has everything! So glad to see a lovely article about you guys in the MEN! Can’t wait for the cafe opening!

Such an amazing shop it’s a must for any Harry Potter fan I could spend every penny I have in this shop I wanted everything in the shop highly recommended can’t wait to come

Back again

Such a fantastic event that was put on today to meet some of the supporting cast from Fantastic Beasts and all the cast asked in return was a small donation to the shops charity. Staff were excellent and cast that were there had all the time in the world for each child. Genuinely lovely and the shop has some wonderful stock, personal favourites were the books on a page pictures, I’ll be returning for one or two of those!!

My Daughter and I love the shop and the staff. They go out of your way to accommodate you and are genuinely enthusiastic about customer service and Harry Potter! X

Lovely shop. Came today for the Fantastic Beasts event. Didn't get to fully experience the cafe.



I think the cafe can be made more themed without WB getting involved.

•Tatty old frames with the movie posters in.

•Pewter fixtures and fittings and darker inside would do splendid.

I love your shop. The man who served us is very friendly and pointed out, if you buy the items online you can’t actually hold them and look at them properly before you purchase. Lots of brilliant items which I have never seen before. I purchased a Slytherin backpack for my upcoming trip to Universal. It is perfect. I will be visiting again soon.

It is such a nice surprise to have a shop like this in Stockport.

I love this place!! Visited for the first time yesterday and loved everything! (I was the one in the Potter dress). I will definitely be back for another visit pretty soon! ���

From the other side of the planet I very much enjoyed the visit to Hoot and the all-around “magical “environment. There were many fun things to look at and to purchase and Keith was a wealth of information. I would highly recommend a visit to the store for everyone!

A wonderful store with a clearly sought after collection. It is obvious that a lot of work has gone into making this place a haven for Potter heads everywhere. Good luck with the move to Manchester City Centre Hoot! We will certainly be back when you are in your new space with money to spend. ⚡️

You can tell this is a venture in its early days but my friend and I enjoyed our visit. The food in the cafe was lovely and very fairly priced. Also enjoyed browsing round the shop next door. I have to also say how impressed I have been at the helpfulness shown to me. As someone with autism I was very anxious about going somewhere new, but they responded to my Facebook message, answered all the questions I had and were willing to try and do what they could to help make my visit comfortable and enjoyable. I sincerely hope the venture is successful. It would be interesting to visit again in a few months time when it’s more established and see what they can fully achieve with the venture.

We booked a cafe table for 3 pm today as we expected it to be busy due to easter/half term. On arrival we were sent by the the shop staff to an empty, sad space next door - no staff, no customers, no food in view, no menus... so we left. While we weren't expecting a Three Broomsticks replica, it was pretty weird considering the big up in the press we'd read. They're missing a trick not offering a fun cafe experience tied in to the shop.

Went to the cafe today (having booked) and there was practically zero HP decor and no HP themed food. The service was poor and the food choices woeful. Really glad we hadn’t taken kids as they would have been really upset. AVOID.

Was very polite at first , ordered an item to be sent to my house never received it took payment but refuse to send me the item , whenever we call they “ deal with the issue “ and plan to fix the problem and send the item but I still have not received my item I ordered this item at the beginning February it is now nearly the end of April , I do not recommend for buying and posting to your home , one unsatisfied customer

So a group of seven year old children wanted to give their teacher an end of year treat and spent their own pocket money to buy him a voucher from yourselves, they have gone into school super proud and given it to him. Well they shouldn’t have bothered as you have now phoned the mum that organised it and told her you are closing for good tomorrow and if he doesn’t get down there pronto the voucher is worthless, we are no going to have to tell the teacher his gift is worthless and the children have wasted their pocket money! What an absolute disgrace you are, if you were experiencing financial difficulties then you should have stopped selling gift vouchers, because you must have had an incline this may happy. If this was a pre planned closure, then you are nothing more than common theives �
