Spent a lovely afternoon with a friend on the sun terrace. We had a bottle of wine tapas and nachos -all very reasonably priced. The staff were very friendly. Highly tecommended

Great food and great service! A special mention to Laura who served me, I can't have pepper (as in salt and pepper) and she made sure they didn't add it to my meal...not everywhere does that! Compliments to the chef as well! Streak was cooked to perfect and the mash was amazing!

Great evening, great atmosphere, and a great selection of Gin!!! The roof terrace is great for the sunny evenings! The bar staff were super nice and always keen to help choose a drink, Steve was super friendly and fun to chat to.

A lovely place to eat and drink we went during the afternoon and stayed till 7 the 241 cocktails had something to do with it as well as the ambience. We both had fish and chips they were delicious. The staff are very friendly and I was impressed with the fact they polished the glasses in between customers

Started well with good choice of beers. Ordered food but wrong dish came out for son. Promised replacement in 5 minutes was not forthcoming. When questioned about 15 minutes later was told on its way. Never arrived. “Sorry it was burnt. Another is on its way and have a drink on house as an apology.”



Things can go wrong but this place resolved it in the right way with a sorry and free drink.



Nice selection of drinks. Good food (when it arrives). Nice atmosphere. Very friendly staff. Would definitely go back.

Nice Guinness and friendly staff. Had burger and chips... (not many chips but that seems to be the norm nowadays in pub meals)

Went yesterday , have two lovely steaks with pepper corn sauce 4 stars for price of them . Only trouble was to find a table to eat . Some tables had people sitting just for drinks . Will go back again if in area.

The tables and chairs are arranged in such a way that one doesn't feel comfortable sharing. We were there as a couple (hubby's birthday) pre Sting concert. We could tell that there were others looking for a place to sit and drink/eat so I offered the other half of our table to two young ladies.

The queuing system when ordering drinks/food is kinda non-existent!! The staff (as well as client base realising that there aren't many English locals) are obviously oblivious to the courtesy of who is first! We ordered a sharing platter which was a tad oily with everything being deep fried to a crisp! The drinks were good but one can always rely on a decent drink regardless of everything else! The menu offered 2 meals for £10/12 but that wasn't the main attraction - although wished we had gone down that route!

Waited 45 minutes for 2 wraps, received them burnt to a crisp. People waiting up to 15 mins to get served at the bar. Often no one at all behind the bar. And it’s only 2pm. Now waiting 12 minutes for a manager to refund our food. This place used to be soooo good for lunch. What’s happened! This makes me sad!

The bar staff are lovely but the drinks let this place down. The double vodka & lemonade was just overly sweet ( I presume from the on tap lemonade) and no taste of vodka at all. So for my second drink I switched to Pinot Grigio. It was probably the worst one I've ever tasted. My friend tried the Sauvignon Blanca with the same result. Nothing worse than cheap wine. We gave up after that and moved on. Shame as this used to be great pub.

Newly revamped and looking nice, but...it took the staff half an hour to produce microwaved bangers and mash that was a) greasy and b) the tiniest meal I’ve had in a pub ever - I got the impression the peas were counted out and strategically placed for maximum effect! A definite miss for me and I will not be back as the local competition blows it out of the water. My advice, step on!

My in-laws waited over an hour for food that eventually showed after an hour and 15 minutes. During this time there was no communication from the staff explaining about the wait. It was only when my partner went to find out where our meal was, she over heard the manager telling another customer about a 45 minute wait. We were told our food would be with us in a couple of minutes, 15 minutes later our food arrived as we were getting ready to leave to go to our show. The manager did give a refund and apology. How ever the frustration could be been avoided if we were initially told about the wait.
