Join us this morning for our churches together walk of witness. Meeting at St Giles, Aintree Lane at 09:30 and then going to each of the churches in Aintree Village. Followed by Good Friday worship at 11:00 back at Hope.

Huge well done to our 8 young people and their leaders that successfully completed the Slum Survivor Challenge this weekend!! They had a packed schedule taking on challenges that replicated living in a slum and also spent time learning about God’s heart for the poor and loving our neighbour. While most of Aintree’s focus is on the Grand National this afternoon some of our young people are putting down their luxuries and comforts and taking on the Slum Survivor Challenge!
In doing so they are choosing to spend a day & night the way a billion people who live in the worlds slums spend their entire lifetime. The young people will be building and living in their own slum houses and competing in challenges that simulate aspects of slum life. They will eat simple food ...and face restrictions in what clothing and personal items they can bring.
The Slum Survivor challenge is not easy and they are looking to raise money for Tearfund - a Christian charity that is passionate about ending poverty and runs projects in some of the poorest communities around the world. This afternoon for families who have children with additional needs/disabilities we have our Family Friendly Cafe, 2-4pm.
We'd love to welcome new families and also welcome back our regulars 😊
We serve afternoon teas for £2.50 per head, plus hot and cold drinks, cakes and fruit. Please advise of any specific dietary requirements so we can prepare in advance.... We have a variety of toys, games and activities available for babies, children and teenagers. We also have relaxing sofas and quiet areas plus plenty of people to chat with and share support and advice. Look forward to seeing you. 🙂
