we were staying in the premier inn which is next door to the pub the evening meal the wife and i had were excellent same as the breakfast on sunday we were greeted with a warm welcome on both occassions we would come here again for some food very good and friendly sevice.

this is our 8th year coming to the pub for our club weekend meet. and once again Hayley and all her team were OUTSTANDING!

55 three course meals served, the food was fab, hot and more than enough!

a BIG thanks to the kitchen team, and all the girls that helped.

would we go anywhere else........let me think for a second....

Went on a Saturday night the bar and restaurant were crowded the service was excellent the food arrived quickly and was very good the staff could not have been more helpful

We stayed in Aylesbury over night on Saturday and came over to the pub without any reservation. We were greeted and seated very quickly, and was made to feel very welcome. Both the service and the food was excellent. Both the young ladies serving us made the evening really nice after a long day. Thank you all for giving us a great end to our day. We will defiantly be back next time we have to come down to Aylesbury.

We have today celebrated our sons 18th birthday by having a gathering of family and friends at The Horse and Jockey. The whole experience was exceedingly positive, from the initial booking to the time we left everything ran smoothly. The staff were very helpful and polite, nothing was too much trouble. The buffet was exceptional and many of our guests commented on the lovely food. Thank you so much....we will definitely be back.

We have stayed next door in the premier twice and eaten in the horse and jockey. No reservations seated quickly. Welcome and food was great. Staff friendly. Reasonable prices too. Would recommend them. Roast dinner, carbonara and burgers superb

We had a party to celebrate our son’s passing out. Amy and the rest of the staff really looked after us. We had a really good buffet, it was a great atmosphere, it was extremely friendly, thanks Hayley and all your team they are a credit to you.

The Horse and Jockey is a great place to linger over a pint (or two!) and this is largely down to Hayley (and of course her team!) who has put her stamp on it and elevated it to the excellent pub it is today. A wide range of beers and a great atmosphere. OH and it's within stumbling distance of home!!! What more could you ask? Thanks Hayley and crew...carry on the great work

By far one of the best Ember Inns pubs I have been in! And trust me, I have been in one or two. All ways attentive staff serving, place is spotless. I really enjoy the real Ales that’s on there! Highly recommend it!

Been to the Horse and Jockey on a few occasions and can say the place has a really good atmosphere, from the bar Area to the Restaurant.

I really like the idea that you can eat away from the bar and the T.V’s if you want.

The Table service is great and the staff are all really friendly and helpful when deciding on menu choice.

I would recommend the Horse and Jockey for any occasion , quick bite to eat or a more formal evening out .

Awesome place! Can't think of a better way to spend an afternoon.... evening..... or maybe just the day. Super staff who are both friendly and super helpful, fantastic food that is just so yummy you keep wanting more, great selection of brews and an atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. What better way to spend a Saturday night than with The Arsenal on the telly and a Carlsberg in my hand. Can't wait! Bring it on. Do yourself a favour and rock on down. You won't regret it!

This is the second time i have been here, whilst staying at the hotel whilst on business. The staff are fantastic, all very friendly and a great laugh. First visit was 6 month ago, had a mixed grill that was huge, and fantastic for about £12 ,last night had half rack of ribs ,about £13 and lovely. The bar games were a great laugh,which is very welcoming when your on your own.

Food was OK service was fine. Was very disappointed when we went for breakfast and it opened over 30 minutes late. We were on.a tight schedule so had to go else where.

The chips were dry not to my taste or linda's. The ham was way too salty and the batter on my fish a touch too greasy. On the plus side the apple pie and cream was gorgeous and thoughtful of staff to bring doggie treats out yoo

Come here for my brother in laws birthday celebrations and im being brutually honest in saying im disappointed. Firstly my son had a tomato pasta apparently from kids menu which was overcooked pasta and a horrible watery sauce! Sent it straight back! Starters were ok (mind you it was only Camembert!) I had Scampi and chips and i had peas still hard, my Scampi was actually horrible and slimy inside so didnt eat that either so all in all absolutely shocking. The only saving grace was the 2 lovely servers so thats my rating of 2 for them! Should of been a lovely experience for a birthday but it wasnt unfortunately and safe to say i wont be back.

Would give zero starts if I could! service was awful and the manger is one of the worse I have come across! She was rude and needs some training in customer service! My biggest regret is spending as much money as we did as it was most defiantly not deserved! Would 100% not recommend to anyone

We went for dinner here on the 28.12.16 took a while choosing what we wanted nachos for starter which I have to say we're great, then choose a steak for main which came with onion rings when the steak showed up it came with out onion rings on plate we had to ask for them! When they did arrive they were then very soggy and tasted awful. I ordered fish and chips with bloomer loaf when the bread came out it was never a bloomer loaf it was stale bread that felt like it had been in microwave

Very disappointed with the whole meal won't be going back!

It’s my sons 3rd birthday today and he got rather upset because there was no tables available even though I rang 2/3 hours before explained we are coming from Buckingham near Milton Keynes TWICE!! Lady I spoke to CONFIRMED. They will have a table available for us! RIDICULOUS. never going again.
