had a family meal for 4 today Christmas eve food and service was top class couldn't ask for more will be going there again for sure

Went for a birthday meal and loved it . Great food friendly staff and really nice atmosphere. Never had a bad meal here it's a great family pub

Ordered two lots of fish and chips £8.99 for two can't be bad. Food was piping hot and fish was yummy. The batter golden and crunchy, chips nice crisp on outside fluffy in middle.

All in all great price great food. 10 out of 10. Bar staff are also worthy of shout out, friendly and polite.

We was met by a lovely man called Peter he was so polite showed up to our table!, made us feel at ease we were a family of 8, food was fab, puddings were great too! Pete came over to ask how everything was! But honestly he made are night, Never made us feel uncomfortable or nothing, wish there were more people like (pete) at places like this!

Staff are very good in wacky and helpful and friendly food platter was nice overall experience good staff all happy and good atmosphere :)

Lovely people and food even for a fussy child. Very accommodating, and steak cooked correctly rare which we do not get everywhere � great value for money too

Attended my Grandson's 5th Birthday party and we liked the place so we have just booked for the family to have Christmas day meal. Hopefully we will have a brilliant time. Very impressed with first visit.

We went in for a meal today at midday it was quiet in there but the staff were very welcoming as per usual and the mixed grill i had was lovely BUT for the bloody awful sausages i did ask if they had been changed but was told no as the first time we went when hungry horse had taken it over they were awful then and i complained to the brewery. It appears my please to change them back to the other ones they used to have are being ignored and i heard other people complaning about them too and say empty plates going back with the sausages on

We had the ultimate platter, very nice but onion rings over done & hard, kids loved their puddings especially popping candy wafer boat, nice staff

We have been visiting the Horse and Jockey for many years and had always been impressed. It always used to be popular but we have noticed it has been almost empty the last few times we have been. Our food was reasonably priced and enjoyable but the menu has been vastly reduced and there wasn't the usual amount of choice. After our meal, my husband went to the bar to buy another drink and there was no bar staff to be seen anywhere - he waited for 5 minutes and still nobody came to serve him. We didn't get another drink and went home disappointed.

The food wasn't very nice, the lasagne was just bits of sheet pasta I was expecting full sheets in between the layers, the place looked like it needed a good clean so won't be returning.

Rubbish food. No meat or children's meals and what they did have was dry burnt and cold. No coke or lemonade as it was flat. Very disappointed.

steaks and could not cut it with a steaks knife I asked a member of staff to try it too her awhile then she returned to her work

Fatty burger greasy chips not a great menu selection as they didn’t have bugger all complained TWICE to different members of staff and they didn’t even bat an eye lid definitely not be going back there disappointed

We used to love going here but what on earth have you done with the menu???! Went there last night with the family and stayed for about 3 minutes whilst we tried to find the second part of the menu as the one on the table was a joke. No pictures of the food anymore, none of the fold out menus with plenty of choice. Whoever now runs your marketing and design wants firing asap.



We went to beefeater in redditch instead where they had a menu that actually resembled something we wanted to order from.

Very rude staff,dirty toilets and sub standard food...keep away.

Thought I’d bring my mom out for lunch we had the two main meal for £8.99 it was absolutely awful we had ordered the 5oz rump steak medium was just rubbery. Trying to cut it with a knife just wasn’t happening. And chicken New Yorker- chicken was hard and tough very dry. Chips looked like they were double dipped. This was the first time in years we had tried it. Safe to say we shall not be returning.

If I could have given 0 stars I would have. Having had a table booked for 15 for a birthday lunch. To be told approx 5 times we had to change our orders because they had no food, so had to do with what they had. Then to be told I have to take my daughter to the men's toilets as she could not be taken by my wife into a section of the bar which is for over 18"s so she could use the ladies. The other ladies was out of order to then be told use the disabled toilet. I have no issue with that but think it is stupid that she could not use the other one whilst being accompanied by an adult. Will I ever be going back NO. Will I recommend you to others definitely NO.

One thing I will say is a big thank you to the gentleman who brought our food over to us, you made our experience much more bearable with your kindness especially to the children. Thank you.
