Hospital Radio Echo

Hospital Radio Echo, the working name for Radio Echo, was established in 1962 and broadcasts to Cumberland Infirmary.

Hospital Radio Echo, a former award winner of the BBC's Best Hospital Radio Station, has an extensive library of music that has been collected over the years which enables it to respond to requests through its regular Patient Request programmes.

These have now been developed alongside a 24-hour non-stop easy listening music service designed specifically for hospital patients.

You will find Radio Echo FREE on Channel 6 on your Hospedia beside console and, once you have registered, the service is available to you 24 hours every day. Radio Echo currently has around 30 volunteers and our live programmes can be heard between 7pm and 10pm and from 8am every Sunday.
