Modern Novotel conveniently located 5 minutes walk from Paddington station and near the Sheldon square complex. Clean, spacious. Attentive staff. Corporate buffet lunch interesting in a good way : small portions of different dishes, lots of choice.
Very conveniently located a short walk from Paddington station so it's easy to connect with the Heathrow Express and move around the city during the stay. Staff are all very courteous and helpful and everything is kept very clean. The breakfast buffet is amazing. Rooms are smaller than North American sizes but everything you require for a business trip is easily available.
First of all, the staff is super friendly. I did read some reviews claiming the opposite but then again I also heard how some guests talk to the staff. Should those guest be reminded they are talking to human beings that are in no sense worth less than themselves? And still, while hearing some customers treat staff as rude, the staff kept smiling and replying. So my bet is if you treat the staff like people, you get the chance to see their great willingness to serve you at your best. Being pregnant, I even got a pregnant-proof breakfast with hard boiled eggs, served at my table.
Next to that, I love the pool and gym! Free to use for all guests, what a treat!
Location is also great as the area is really safe and you get anywhere in London pretty fast from Paddington.
I stayed here twice now for a couple of days and I will definitely come back on my next trip!
Nice, modern & spacious rooms. Staff were very polite & helpful at all times. Breakfast was nice although a tad on the expensive side. Small area for the kids included computer games, there was also an xbox in the room. There's a spa & gym that can be used by guests but we didn't use it. Location is great for access to Paddington Station & Hyde Park is a short walk away.
Friendly greeting on arrival and helpful staff member for checking in process. The room was very comfortable, no external noise thanks to double glazed windows. All facilities you would expect including small mini fridge. I included the dinner package and thought it was excellent value. Great location in Paddington Basin area, pleasant 5 minute stroll along Canal to Paddington station. Very good walk the opposite direction to Little Venice.
Service from staff was excellent. Breakfast was very good. Location was very good. Overall well maintained and pleasing to the eye, including the room.
Towels seemed clean when dry but smelt mildly like puss(!) when wet/moist. Seemed to have been washed with very little or no detergent. This to me is a big deal.
Aircon did not work at all even though there was a sign which asked to put it at the lowest temperature. We had to keep the window open.
Couldn't understand why the toilet could not have been in the bathroom so that there would be more space in the bathroom.
Very pleasant. Good breakfast. Bit strange that there is no one to help with suitcases. Also was very hot in the room at night no matter what we did with the air conditioning. Reception was always very helpful. Had best WiFi reception in toilet! Toilet paper was of inferior quality for a Novotel hotel. On the whole is a very good hotel.
Reception was excellent, room and Breakfast very good. Location brilliant for me as I come it to London at Paddington. Have used Hotel many times and will return and not hesitate to recon and it.

We really enjoyed the place. The beds were comfy. Staff was helpful and smiling. The breakfast was very good. The towels could use an upgrade.
