Drafted my own basic skirt pattern and now doing first fitting. It's great doing an Advanced Pattern Cutting class and revisiting how to draft basic block patterns. Can't wait to start getting more creative!

A good day yesterday learning Telestial pattern cutting. Ever tried? It's an Uber fast way of drafting clothing patterns!

What do you think of this 1/5 scale skirt i just made? Sure I've made plenty of dkirtd before but I'm really happy with how the piping waist band and pocket details turned out. It's just a sample from my advanced seeing class at @fashionenter Fashion Training Academy.
It's never too late to learn new skills and perfect your weaknesses. There's something I love about sewing, the focus can be intense and relaxing at the same time. But the feeling of having made something with your own hands is all so very satisfying! Who agrees?

Long time since my last post, Thanks to all my followers who hung in there! Here's me earlier this year modeling a pattern for a corset on the stand. You model on one side of the body if the designer is symmetrical, if its asymmetrical i would drape/model a full pattern.

It's hard to believe that this time last week my sister and I were in @thepalaceofversailles in Paris. We saw part of the vast "home" and the beautiful landscaped gardens that a near two mile walk lead to 🎀Marie Antoinette's quarters, Dare I say , I expected her getaway for secret rendezvous to be a little more bigger. But who am I to question ☺️

Day 2 hat making using Buckram that I had molded, let dry a few days , cut and then hand sewing strimma wire onto. What does this shape remind you of? Some say 20's , other more future.
