Howe & Co is the UK's leading law firm for discrimination challenges on behalf of Travellers, Gypsies and Roma people.

In May 2015 Howe & Co a seminal victory on behalf of a large group of Travellers, Gypsies and their supporters against a JD Wetherspoons pub in North London. The Court ruled that the pub had acted illegally when it refused entry to Travellers on the grounds of their race. This key case shone a stark spotlight on the last bastion of ‘acceptable racism’ that continues to blight the lives of many Gypsies, Travellers and Roma across the county. Howe & Co are seeking financial damages and declarations for many other Travellers and Gypsies against pubs, clubs and hotels who unlawfully refused them service.

Howe & Co have taken cases to the Advertising Standards Authority against Chanel 4, and had two of Channel 4’s national “Bigger Fatter Gypiser” Ads banned. Howe & Co have taken on Channel 4 and OFCOM (the national media regulator) over Channel 4’s “Big Fat Gypsy Weddings” series.
