Tomorrow is our big day, after lots of fund raising and support from our locals we will be serving a Christmas day to those less fortunate than ourselves. They will be welcomed by Bitterne Manor School choir singing Christmas carols. They will then have a traditional three course dinner with wine. And finally a visit from Santa, who will hand out some early Christmas presents. Thank you to the staff for helping to prepare for tomorrow, to our lovely regulars for their kind su...pport and offers of help. Lance Corporal Phillips, an army cadet was collecting for the royal British legion poppy appeal on Saturday 10th November when someone stole his new bike. Wine for a Sunday roast but for got to book. And was on an hour's waiting list . But staff and manager went out of their way to serve us our meal with out us having to wait ages . Food was amazing and customer service was 5* in itself. will definitely be going again

What a beautiful pub! A great looking place from the outside and really smart inside. Clean, comfortable, lovely atmosphere, friendly & professional staff. As a gigging musician I see it all and I have to say Humble Plumb is quite honestly the nicest pub I've been to for a long time �

We had our firms Christmas meal there yesterday 18th December 2016 and it was spot on they catered for my food allergy amazingly well as I have only recently be diagnosed . The food was superb I will definitely be going again

Visited this local with my lovely wife for a bite to eat, we after perusing the menu food ordered arrived 20 or so minutes later, hot, tasty and at a reasonable price, the landlord went out of his way very cheerful and friendly. All I can say is well done and keep up the good work. See you again soon.

The setting was cosy, atmosphere friendly, staff had just the right attentiveness, we weren't made to feel rushed, and the very reasonably priced meal although we waited a while was well worth the wait...don't mind waiting at all if it tastes that good when it comes out!

Seven of us including 3 mum's on mothering Sunday I think our empty plates for both courses said it all........tasty tasty very very tasty.........one mum came from Gosport and is looking forward to a return visit.

Lovely little local pub, food’s amazing and the staff are all very friendly and welcoming! Especially Nicky who served us today, nothing was too much trouble, she recommended some food off the menu for us to try and chatted to us like we’d known her for years. The food was brought to us quickly and we were asked if we had everything we needed and if we would like another drink as we were sat outside to save us going to the bar. We were very impressed with that, great customer service! Thank you �

Had the most amazing evening here at the humble plum,the food was incredible,We would have gladly paid double the price the food was that good.The pub was packed,atmosphere great & staff were great everyone so happy we went. I have found my new local & would be proud to recommend this great little pub ! Helen Evans Bitterne.

Arrived and was met by the gawgus Steve.

The staff where polite the drinks orders where taking quick and delivered super fast. The food was delivered hot and promptly and plenty of it.

We couldn’t have asked for anything better. If I could grove this 10 * I would definitely would .

You can have a card stamped when you buy a beer, so your 10th is free. Unless the barmaid can't be bothered. With effectively 10 % off it's still the dearest pub in Bitterne.
