Very enjoyable family lunchtime outing. Fabulous food good friendly helpful service. Sat outside as we were blessed with glorious weather. Plenty to occupy younger children. Animals, motorised Go-karts and ride ons and larger pedal carts for slightly older ones and playground area. Only critical was could have done with Sun brolleys as not much shade.

But we had marvellous time.

User

Perfect place to stop on the A303. Great food, friendly atmosphere, and the children loved it. We will be returning

User

Highly recommend you stay! travelled up to the west country game fair which was unfortunately cancelled due to the snow but had an excellent stay here overnight nevertheless! Rooms a good size, exceptionally comfortable bed, clean and tidy, and the food was excellent! Cannot fault the place and will definitely be coming back next year!

User

Have always loved it here, great food and a lovely play area for the kids! Today was the best by far with the addition of the birds of prey! The kids loved meeting and handling the birds! Would highly recommend!

User

Can’t recommend this enough, good food and reasonably priced. And so good to have somewhere for the kids to play,

User

Can’t fault this establishment! Staff were fab, food was great & the rooms were spacious. I stayed in the room that had a four poster bed & had the best nights sleep ever. I’ll definitely be staying here again!

User

We stopped for the first time for lunch and found friendly and efficient staff and delicious home cooked food. Good value for money too.

User

Just checked out from a one night stay here. Good location, right off the A303. Restaurant and bar is lovely, nice seating areas and good drink and food selection. We were in room 12, very spacious, comfy bed and good facilities! Plenty of parking and if you have children they have a big play area which looks like loads of fun. Would definitely recommend and will be back if we ever come up this way again

User

Had a lovely time with children and dog. . Staff friendly didn't have to wait long for food . Cud have done with more choice on menu for main meal , pudding yummy. , will visit again .

User

Excellent, friendly staff, very clean, heating on in the room when we got there. We stayed here because we were at a 40th Birthday meal in the restaurant. Food was good. Thought the road near by would be noisy but pleasantly surprised that it wasn’t. Not give 5 stars as view from room 10 had a big gas cylinder outside. Perhaps a few bushes or fence to hide it, but really impressed. Would stay again.

User

A nice place especially for families. I will be disappointed though if dogs are not allowed in the outside area any more and will probably not use the pub so often.

User

The food was decent but the disabled access is terrible. At least a small step at every entrance, tables that you can't get under in a wheelchair, the door for the disabled toilet is heavy and badly positioned to open by myself, the taps are too far away to reach from a wheelchair and there is no step-free access to the playground where my children wanted to go.

User

Jumbo fish and chips was a child's size. Sent it back and still small and then over cooked. Good service and great play area, shame about the food.

User

Had a few meals here, always been relatively nice. Not tonight. All three meals were substandard. Very disappointed. On the plus side, the dogs enjoyed all the meats from the mixed grill and the hunters chicken, which was tasteless and dry. Soggy chips - not sure if they had been cooked a few times or if the hot chicken placed directly on them turned them soggy but they were not edible. Coleslaw was very warm - couldn’t eat it. Clearly having a bad day today. As I said - had some nice meals here in the past although always felt it a little overpriced for what you get.

User

This place is a great place to come and relax whilst the kids play. We come a lot buttoday I made the mistake of buying a lime and lemonade. £3! Seriously! London prices! Very poor.
