Hunter'S Moon Club Site Description

Hunter's Moon Caravan Club Site lies just on the edge of the lovely Wareham Forest. This pleasant caravan park, with play area and dog walk, provides an excellent base for touring the lovely area of Dorset. Many of the area's most attractive locations are safeguarded by the National Trust, including substantial stretches of unforgettable scenic coastline. It is rich in combes, cliffs, bays and islands - particularly rewarding for the visitor interested in bird life and walking. The nearby Golden Cap, of which the National Trust owns, 2, 000 acres of hills, farmlands and beaches, has the highest cliff in England and delights with its covering of brilliant yellow gorse

We stayed here last July for 4 days and had a really lovely time just relaxing. As with most caravan club sites the pitch space is great. Found the showers/toilets to be very clean. To be honest we don't really spend much time in the caravan onsite as we like to go exploring! We found the site quiet at the time we went (during school term time), well maintained and most of all clean. We would return again!

User

We stayed 8 nights. The site was very clean the toilets were immaculate. Most of the wardens were very friendly even the one that told my dad off dot doing 15mph (rightly so lol) lovley home baked bread and scones. It's a shame about the travellers on the next site that have very loud dogs not sites fault though. My battery died on the car and they helped me get it started again.. would highly recommend if you want a looked after site.

User

We loved it here! Lovely friendly owners, dog and child friendly. The dog loved the exercise area where he could run free safely and the kids loved the park...where they could run free safely too hehe. Never been to a site where the toilet block is so immaculate. Literally looked new, with lovely warm showers, radio and heating. Very well organised and so reasonably priced, we will be back! Many thanks for the warm welcome, the Harris family X

User

Very good for Wareham and local forest walks.

User

Totally disagree with the bad reviews that some small minded people have left regarding this wonderful site.

We have been here for just over a week on pitch 87 and are sad to be leaving tomorrow. We found the owner and wardens to be very helpful and the advice they gave us on everything was spot on. The camp was always being tendered by them and the wash rooms were immaculate. We have two German Shepard’s with us and the dog area was great. The area has plenty to explore and with the advice given to us our two grandchildren were kept very busy and they made lots of friends. You need to get out more and maybe stick to adult only sites. Well done Hunters Moon. We will be back. Thank you.

User

Lovely site, very spacious pitches, peaceful, very clean. Loved the radio playing in the toilet blocks. Highly recommend.

The pub just down the road (silent woman) excellent food.

User

Lovely site and spacious pitches. Lovely friendly welcome. Shop well stocked. Showers and toilets always lovely and clean. Staff friendly and kept site smart. Great place to tour places like Poole, Monkey World, Swanage, Weymouth and all the lovely coves around. Wished we could have stayed longer. Phone signals poor but pay for wifi was quite good. Will definately revisit.

User

Have stayed here 3 times now. Lovely site not too big with good layout and facilities, will be coming again for sure ❤️

User

Fab site, nice big pitches, well laid out, quite big but didn't feel overcrowded even when full. Two lovely shower blocks. Brilliant dog walk, open area in dog walk to play ball. Access to Wareham Forest walk. 10 min walk to The Silent Woman Inn - lovely food but NO phone signal or wifi!!! Caravan & Motorhome Club wifi on the site. TV reception poor but site sell aerial cables.

We only stopped over on way from Cornwall to East Sussex but would use again for a longer stay too.

User

Excellent site, great for children (with playground and treasure trail) and best loo block I’ve ever seen!

User

Came back from this lovely site last Saturday and even though the weather wasn't brilliant we had a really lovely relaxing week. The two people who greeted us were Elaine and David and they made us truly welcome from the off. We got set up to find a problem with our van so asked David if he could check the power point, he came straight away to check and finding it was our van, he recommend a repair guy to come over straight away. We were up and running in no time. First time in taking a dog with us and found the dog walk brilliant. Would highly recommend this site

User

Best place for walking. There are forests beaches and lovely villages. The staff are always friendly and on hand to help. We come back a few times a year

User

Beautiful clean site and very lovely wardens.

The site is a good base to visit the Jurassic coast

User

Absolutely loved this site, even though it was packed it didn't feel like we were crammed in - plenty of room on each pitch, beautiful facilities and very friendly staff. Very well looked after both facilities and grounds. Loved our stay here, will definitely go back and highly recommend a visit.

User

A very nice site, the staff are friendly and helpful. The road can be a bit noisy but unless you back onto it it’s not that bad. The showers and toilets were lovely and clean. The dog walking area was a decent size, slightly wet and muddy but following the recent rain I’m not surprised. We are enjoying our stay and wouldn’t hesitate to return. 😊

User

A very nice and clean site ,the staff are very helpful and friendly.

Loads and loads of walks for you and the dog .

Lulworth Cove & Durdle door is only a short drive away and Monkey World & The Tank museum is just around the corner.

User

This our third visit and each time we have chosen a pitch near the entrance because it has a large grass area. Downside is lots of road noise so it's a bit of a trade off. Always found the wardens friendly and helpful. Next time I would probably go for a pitch further down the site as the road noise can be intrusive.

User

A very good site with spacious pitches and well placed for exploring the area. The only downside is that is could do with a small shop for basic items, like bread, milk etc.

User

Horrible place - terrible holiday - it you have a tent (rather than a posh camper van) and young dogs (rather than old ones that sit still all day ) AVOID. I hated every minute of this visit and also to make it unbearable the owner spied on us from the bushes to see if our dogs were on a lead (at least we think that was what he was looking at - we were getting dressed at the time) - totally awful experience - NEVER going back. Hate it - and left early....
