Hyde United Technical Development Academy

Hyde United Technical Development Academy is targeted at grassroots footballers who wish to improve their technical football skills.

PLAY - DEVELOP - LEARN - ENJOY

Development Sessions will be delivered 17: 00 - 18: 30 in the stadium at Hyde United FC by ex professional and semi professional footballers who have FA /UEFA coaching certificates.

The aim of the sessions is to provide a safe environment for young players to develop their core skills, with a focus on the Technical elements of the game. Improving players first touch, passing, running and dribbling skills will help players to improve and progress as well as making the game more enjoyable for them to play.

All session will be delivered using a football and the aim is to make sure the players get as many touches as possible within the 90 minute session. Repeating the delivery of core skills helps a player to learn and to deliver, through individual practice, 1v1 / 2v2 drills and small sided games.

The coaching staff will be looking at all the players during the sessions to identify those who can step up to the Elite Player Development Centre delivered by our partner Rochdale AFC at the facility on Wednesday evenings 18: 30 - 20: 30
