Menu to everyone's satisfaction and very attentive waiter/waitress service.
everyone of the 31 guests praised your hotel and heard no complaints.
Wonderful Sunday lunch for my mums 50th wedding anniversary! They added lovely touches to table! Card, golden napkins and 50 sprinkles all over the table! Wonderful service and food!
Went into the beautiful gardens for coffees later! Wonderful views and weather couldn’t have been nicer! Thank you so much!
We had a delicious afternoon tea here today which we enjoyed very much. The waiter was very friendly and went out of his way to accommodate us!
We came for the Festive Swing Thing lunch yesterday and had a great time, thank you, the food was good, service from ALL of the in-house team was excellent, and it was great to see the hotel so busy! A lovely place to visit for the day for some food and relaxation by the sea.
Thank you to the wonderful staff at Hydro Hotel Eastbound. Stuck for a man’s minutes before leaving for a funeral. One was found amongst the staff - no charge!!
Stayed at the Hydro December 15th 2017 and January 1st of this year. initially was excited with the service I received yet when I proceeded to go to bed I found hair on my sheets which was not mine and old sticky Cup rings on the bedside table. By the time this was noticed the front desk was gone housekeeping was gone and the only person available was the Porter who did bring me up sheets.
Also I was not informed at check-in that there was a free continental breakfast for guests of the hotel therefore I did not find out about this until the 2nd day of my stay the same day I was checking out.
I voiced this to the staff when I checked out and I also left a comment card yet no one really seemed very concerned. For a five star hotel I expected more.
Stayed at this hotel for our 25th wedding anniversary as a special treat to ourselves from the moment we checked in we were made to feel welcome. fantastic staff . room was very nice with a lovely sea view and the complementary upgrade was a nice touch .breakfast was great. we would definitely recommend this hotel to anybody and would stay there again
Reception: Welcoming. Having my key close to my mobile phone wiped out assess to my room. I went to the reception desk and it was re charged. I was also escorted to ensure that it worked. Thank you.
Sea View : I recommend.I loved lying in bed looking out at the sea. Brilliant idea having the bed facing the window.
Dinner: 5☆ continuously being attend to. Felt pampered and brought back memories of my childhood.
Nights rest: peaceful and untroubled. Puffy pillows.
Breakfast: Traditional English
Overall Ambiance: Just the way I like it. Intimate.
I had a great time.
Our youngest son treated us to a birthday lunch on 2nd January ( 78years young) ato our favourite Hotel. The dining room was quiet as it was a late lunch but the staff were very attentive and the food was superb apart from the melon that could have benifited with a few more days ripening. The Hydro is our Hotel of choice as we are locals and use it on a regular basis and always praise the facilities, keep the standard please.
Lovely hotel. Lots of attention to detail. Friendly staff. Little bit away from the main areas but taxi's cheap. Well worth a visit. Amazing fresh breakfast. Best bed quilt and pillows I have ever come across!!!
I attended the Hotel to provide entertainments for a Wild West Party. This is a Super Venue for Events, the staff were very polite and immaculately dressed the Function Room was super, very clean and tidy with a lovely view at the front overlooking the sea - Highly Recommend for Events - Weddings, Corporate, Birthdays etc....

Had a lunch to celebrate our Birthday and although we experienced some minor issues with initial planning, these were swept away with the kind assistance of the Hotel Manager. The meal was beautifully cooked, the service was attentive but not intrusive and the whole family felt totally at ease and looked after.
A lovely touch was the serving of a Birthday Cake with the pianist playing Happy Birthday. We took our coffee and petits fours outside on the terrace as the weather was lovely and it was a wonderful ending to a lovely visit.
Would unhesitatingly recommend and will definitely be back.
Great hotel in pleasant location. Beach five mins walk. Friendly and helpful staff. Delicious breakfast with a good variety. Lovely outdoor pool. Old fashioned atmosphere and decor. Will definitely return.
Fantastic hotel, we booked through travel zoo, £59 b&b plus cream tea.
Rooms very nice, massive bathroom with shower.
Food was great, only let down was the toast @ breakfast, cheap brown & white bread.
Other than that breakfast was great. The bar was good, nice man behind the bar last night, Saturday. Football etc on TV. £4-20 a pint of fosters.
Will definitely be back

Amazing b&b deal through Travel zoo and a surprise upgrade to sea view. Couldn’t be faulted. Would like to return when weather is good enough to swim in the pool.
A beautiful setting with views over the sea. Sat in the conservatory which was very comfortable. The menu was varied and the staff so helpful.
Went for afternoon tea and requested gluten free and nut free due to my allergies. I wasn't offered a choice like others as to the fillings. I was given Tuna or beef. Others had egg and cheese and prawn mayo! Could have eaten any of them. The cakes again didn't have a choice like the others who had five types I was given 3 slices of which only one I could eat! Enjoyed my time
But not so much the gluten free experience
We came for our first night at this hotel and our initial impression was good. But we had a similar experience to Faye which spoiled it somewhat.
It was a very hot afternoon with temperature about 30c when we decided to take tea and a sandwich in the conservatory. There were many vacant tables so we picked one that suited us in a nice shaded area. We were quickly descended upon by a rather officious member of staff who I took to be the lounge manager. He said 'you can't stay at this table' and asked us to move to another small table in the hot sunshine by the window. I asked if we could stay as the table offered was too hot and indicated the other empty settings. He reluctantly agreed adding that 'ok you can stay but if I need to move you later I WILL' There were many unoccupied tables throughout our visit and this individuals' unnecessary attitude spoiled an otherwise pleasant stay.
We really enjoyed the remainder of our stay - The restaurant food was really good well cooked and presented - the other staff members especially Hannah in reception were extremely helpful and pleasant.
