Crews from Hyndburn, Gt Harwood and Blackburn dealt with a fire at a recycling unit on Bolton Ave, Huncoat this evening. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used 2 jets to extinguish the fire which started in an industrial skip and prevented it from spreading to the adjacent unit.
This morning, crews from Hyndburn supported crews from all over east Lancs to bring a large fire under control at grade 2 listed 'The Bureau', Victoria St, Blackburn. 8 pumps and 2 aerial platforms dealt with it.
We would like to say a big thank you to all that attended and donated to have their cars and Van's washed today, we would also like to say a big thank you to the 5th Legion for the help and support, we managed to raise £1060 for the fire service charity. Thank you everyone. 😁👍🚒🚒
