Hypnotherapy Newcastle Description

I’m Joseph Mc Anelly. A consultant, psychotherapist and hypnotherapist Newcastle. I’m probably the longest established hypnotherapist in Newcastle and the North East of England. I have more than 37 years of experience.
I’ve spent most of my working life dedicated to assisting people in one form or another. About 38 years ago I discovered hypnotherapy. At first, perhaps like you, I was very sceptical of anything that could be achieved by using hypnosis. Nevertheless, I started to use hypnosis and found that I achieved profound changes in my life. I chose from that moment, to study and practice how to use hypnotherapy to help others achieve similar goals. That’s when I decided to become a Hypnotherapist Newcastle.
For the last 37 years, I’ve successfully worked with people helping them change, alter, or come to terms with their feelings reactions and habits through the power of hypnotherapy.
To ensure you get the best treatment, I have studied skills from the very best sources in the profession:
Honours Degree in Psychology.
I’m also accredited at senior level by the following organisations:
The British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy.
The National Council of Psychotherapists.
The National Council for Hypnotherapy.
The Institute for Stress Management Association.
The Royal Society of Medicine.
I’m a graduate member of the British Psychological Society.
I’ve also studied for twelve months with Dr Richard Bandler, who is the co-founder of NLP. Following this, I was accredited as master and trainer of NLP and I’m fully compliant with NHS guidelines. I’m a qualified health professional and registered with CNHC (registration number 000156-A11).
I’m proud to serve as a Hypnotherapist in Newcastle, Tyne & Wear and the North East of England. To see a full overview of what I do and what we can do for you please check our website.

The Magic of Hypnotherapy
Let me start by giving you some clues as to the magic of hypnotherapy. As with all magic, the secret lies with the person who is performing the magic. Most people accept the fact that in magic what they see and hear and touch is merely an illusion but one that they cannot rationalize. The word magic is derived from the Greek "Magike Techne" meaning the art of the Magi.

Today, Hypnosis is increasingly used to aid fertility and ease birth. In the UK, this is often referred to by the generic term, “hypnobirthing”.
It can help overcome fear and anxiety around conception, parenting or birth itself. It can reduce stress and anxiety (not just for you, but also for your baby), boost your confidence to be a parent and give mothers a feeling of control so the birth experience is the best it can be.

Hypnotherapy FAQ. 1. What is hypnosis?
Opinions vary on the exact definition of this natural state of mind. First of all, contrary to what many people believe, hypnosis is not always a trance state or a sleep state even though a person in hypnosis may appear to be sleeping. Hypnosis is really natural state of mind and is an important part of everyday life. Whenever our mind wanders, daydreams or is focused on something, such as reading a book, driving a familiar route, watchi...

Irritable Bowel Syndrome, known as IBS, affects up to 1 in 5 people in the UK over the course of their lifetime. If you have been diagnosed with IBS, you may have been given certain dietary advice, perhaps been put on certain medication or maybe been told that “talking therapies” can help with the symptoms.
IBS can be debilitating, preventing you from achieving simple tasks such as going shopping or enjoying long walks. It may also be causing you serious discomfort on a regul...

So what is a problem behaviour? At the NCH we define it as an unwanted habit or addiction; something you feel you have no control over which affects your life and the lives of those you care about.
Habits such as overeating or smoking are the most common, but there are many other behaviours that affect people’s lives, make them unhappy or cause a risk to their health and the health of those around them.
If you have an unwanted habit or behaviour, it may often feel as if you a...re out of control, that there is someone else or something inside of you that is making you do this. A “little voice” that always tells you to do something when you don’t want to do it. But that little voice is part of you and is part of your protection system.
As a species we evolved to survive and thrive so our subconscious, the heart of our being, is always creating mechanisms that support this. However, sometimes things get distorted and what your subconscious thinks is a protection mechanism becomes an unwanted habit that causes you upset rather than allowing you to survive and thrive.
The good news is that you are in control, you can change how you react to certain situations, and you can protect yourself in ways that are healthy and which allow you succeed and grow stronger in body and mind. You just need to know how to change it, and to believe you can.
The reason why hypnotherapy works so rapidly with bad habits and behaviours is because it works directly with your subconscious, bypassing the critical mind and getting to the root of the issue so that changes can be made that support your goals quickly and efficiently.

The smoking habit lingers on despite controversy Posted on 20th July, 2016 by NCH News
inShare 60 smokingIt was more than 50 years ago that a key report was published that marked the beginning of a change in people’s relationship with smoking. Although there had been previous warnings linking smoking and lung cancer, it was the 1962 study by the Royal College of Physicians, Smoking and Health, that really broke through to the public and politicians.
