About I Love Manchester

The independent city brand and trusted symbol of civic pride adopted by Manchester, championing community, culture and unity #ILoveMCR

I Love Manchester Description

I Love MCR is an independent organisation which was launched in reaction to the infamous riots in Manchester (and Salford) during the summer of 2011. A catalyst to rise against anti-social behaviour, harness the energy of people and express our unconditional love of the city.

Out of the carnage came creativity. It all began with a social media and guerrilla marketing campaign and – with the help of Manchester City Council – the logo has become an incorruptible symbol of civic pride, resilience and a platform for people who love Manchester used to promote the city we love.

We’re as Manchester as it gets. A small band of incorruptible, like-minded individuals who are Manchester-born & Manchester-bred and who share the same passion; affection for our city. We are cool, cultured, cosmopolitan – just like Manchester. We love Manchester and we hope you do, too.

Our heart’s in the right place.

Thank you I love Manchester. First class dealing with the shop. I had a slight issue with an order and it was sorted quickly and with no fuss whatsoever. Brilliant. :)

Manchester is by far the friendliest city in the United Kingdom. Unlike my home city of Glasgow, Mancunians are the kindest people you will ever meet, with Glaswegians being the rudest (and before anyone says anything I actually live in Glasgow and see how this city has gone downhill with rude people on a daily basis) luv you manchester

Im a Mancunian living in South Wales. Im so proud to be a Mancunian and no matter were i am Manchester will always be in my heart and soul.

User

I'm a Mancunian. I love my dirty, sarcastic, violent, loud city because it's loving, compassionate, funny, joyful and laid back, blue or red. Go wherever you want in the world but there is no place like it and no place I'd rather be. My heart is here so why would I be anywhere else.

User

I was born in Manchester my Family all came from the surrounding area. This is a vibrant music loving City, the people are the salt of the earth, when one hurts we all hurt so people of Manchester don't be afraid stand strong we love our city ❤❤❤xx

User

I love Manchester for everything that it stands for. The Mancunians are great people, straight speaking and also very friendly.

My visits to the city are frequent, and I always find something new to see and do every time. Getting around Manchester is as easy as it gets, either using the three complimentary bus routes that the city offers, the great tram system, or even by foot.

If you haven't been to Manchester, then do so soon. You'll not regret it!

User

I love Manchester because it is such a vibrant city, so full of life and I especially love to hang out in the northern quarter with its great eating places and the cool artistic vibe!!

Came to live in Manchester on 16th July 1996, a month after the Arndale bombing. Originally from the Philippines, I've always been fascinated with anything Manchester, mainly thanks to The Smiths during my teenage years in Manila in the '80s, and The Stone Roses/Madchester scene when I was a young adult in the '90s living in Abu Dhabi. And now, I'm living the dream! There's nowhere else I'd rather be. Manchester music is the BEST in the world! I love, love, love Manchester!!! <3 <3 <3

No place like Manchester

I love my adopted city - I always have. I know that there is so much to Manchester that a video can't capture - but this was way too brief! I also don't think that it showed Manchester out to be the vibrant powerhouse that it is. It's not all rain and flat caps. Sorry to be critical, but I'm passionate about the energy , music, power and fun that flows throughout this city - I would have liked to have seen some of that here. Music was - of course - great.
