great shop and great shooting stands but most of all great friendly staff members

User

Went to a ladies day here today. Great ground, good targets, welcoming staff. Well managed event. Even the sun came out! Very enjoyable day!

User

We enjoyed a fantastic afternoon shooting clay pidgeons under excellent guidance from Matt.

It was 6 degrees and windy: perfect conditions for a terrible afternoon doing an activity my girlfriend and I had never done before!

However, Matt ensured we had a memorable afternoon: he was friendly and enganging, gave us great tips to improve our aim - with immediate results! - and helped make this experience a highlight of our stay in Cheltenham.

Clay pidgeon shooting here is definitely a must-do activity when visiting the area.

Thanks again to Matt and the team :)

User

Visited for the first time on Friday - everyone was very welcoming and I thought that the layout of the sporting clays was excellent and some very challenging targets. Craig was an excellent instructor for the day. Looking forward to another visit

User

Travelled from Sussex for a gun fit and pattern plate on Saturday 28th of July. It was a long journey but so worth it. The shop staff couldn't have been more helpful. The Fitting and pattern plate of the gun was both enjoyable and very educational. Having only been shooting for 2.5 years the trainer helped me enormously. Highly recommended and great value for money

User

Superb ground, lots of stand choice, well maintained, all in good working order and great staff. Also a great shooting shop on site.

User

Nothing but good stuff to say, remembered after 12hrs of buying my gun from the old shop. Great lesson and enjoyable subsequent round, superb facilities and a warm reception awaits

User

My first time Clay pidgin shooting alone and the staff were excellent in showing me the ropes and helping me find my feet around the ground - thank you

User

Many thanks to Sue who helped out and spent a massive amount of time helping me buy my first shotgun. Came away after trying out a couple of demos, quite happy with my purchase.

Really impressed with the grounds and looking forward to coming back and dusting a few clays when it’s abit warmer.

User

Ian Coley Shooting is by the far the best ground I have had the pleasure to visit in many years. The shop was excellent, the cafe was excellent and the stands were excellent. Great paths and paved stands in many cases, good signage explaining the stand, great mix of stands. I cannot find fault! The shop is very competitive, as for the clays well, its a little more expensive than most but you can see the reasons why. Ian Coley Shooting will be my treat to myself and I can even go on my own as the automated stands mean you can set it to solo mode to press the button automatically, if you are going to pop in for a sneaky bit of practice on your own?!?! Great place, Great People and I had a Great Time!!! Thank you.

User

I came here last weekend for my hen party, my bridesmaid organised it all and it we had the best time! I had never been clay pigeon shooting before but I will defiantly be doing it again, I loved it! Our instructor James was great too! Thanks for a great afternoon

User

I booked a clay pigeon shooting experience as a surprise for my husbands 30th birthday and wow, we certainly wasn't disappointed. We were made to feel so welcome as soon as we arrived and was then introduced to our instructor, Matt. I have to say, Matt was fabulous. He made the whole experience really fun & enjoyable whilst remaining professional & knowledgeable. He made you feel safe at all times and was extremely helpful throughout. He went the extra mile and really made the day extra special. He was really patient with me (as I was nervous to begin with) and he was continuously enthusiastic and encouraging from start to finish. Matt made the day fun, special and memorable and we cannot thank him enough. He was fantastic and is a huge credit to the company. Thank you again.

User

Having great fun very cold tho, currently looking to Mike on shots !!

User

Had yet another great day at Ian Coley's school. My confidence is building, as is my strike rate.

Craig my instructor has been brilliant, mixing up the stands to make it interesting and challenging.

The gun shop have been keen enough to prep some different guns to try out so I get a feel for what's out there and in my budget.

As a new shooter, I can't recommend the place enough.

Will I be coming back more, you bet.

User

Had my very first shoot this morning and I really enjoyed it. Cracking instructor really put me at ease. I’m looking forward to going again.

User

Had a fantastic trip to Ian Coley guns today and bought a brilliant shotgun. The range was exceptional and all staff where friendly and helpful without been pushy. I was allowed to shoot my gun before buying which made the whole trip worth while and I left knowing I had bought what I wanted and had not been sold a gun just to get a sale. Will be back in the summer ..... 5 stars all round well done to you all.

User

Had A try out of Clay Shooting with my 2 sons , Ian Coley is very professional and also our Instructor Matt Davis was a very relaxed and Amazing fun coach who taught us lots about what to expect , with each of the targets we were shooting.

A very good experience which we can highly recommend for those who haven’t done this sort of thing before.

Thanks.

Andrew, Ben and Jack Kirby
