Great ambience at Iberica Farringdon tonight, fantastic service, a tremendous variety of cheeses (for Spain) and meats, for diverse options creating your own boards of food. Both authentic traditional and creative modern twists on tapas. We could have had the Gazpacho of red berries, beetroot, anchovy, cheese ice cream and mint, as a palate cleanser between each course! Superb wine list (could do with a few more sherries) with so many especially reds by the glass to try. The knowledgeable staff (from Peru/Madrid) had good recommendations such as the Beronia 2012 Reserva, smokey, peppery, earthy yet smooth and the Gran Duque de Alba brandy, caramel, nutty, spicy molasses, served warm resting on a hot glass, perfect, a heady inhale clearing the sinuses for winter and warming the cockles with a hint of whisky-style burn but no actual searing of your palate or throat - delicious. The chocolate y churros were crisp and the chocolate rich and dark, not sickly rich or sweet at all, which is often the case. Absolutely charming and hospitable front of house Irene too.

Best Tapas in London. Food was amazing. Staff helpful and friendly... they make a mean Gin & Tonic

User

Service was a little inattentive, but the food was good

User

Not quite 5 but nearly, food was lovely, service was great.

User

Beware if you order water, you'll be charged £3.95 a bottle for the privalige which is opened. Have to ask for tap water! Food was overpriced and you didn't get much for the price. Service and staff were nice. Cheapest bottle of wine was £22. Plus they put a service charge on. We're not cheap skates and always tip but don't like it just being stuck on the bill like that.
