Cyclone Idai has swept through Mozambique, Malawi and Zimbabwe, killing hundreds and affecting approximately 2.6 million people. With more heavy rain expected, the UN is predicting that this may become one of the worst weather-related disasters on record in the southern hemisphere.
Action against Hunger have launched a fundraising appeal to support the other organisations and their partners working in the affected areas. Help today by sharing or supporting the coalition of charities reaching those in need.

This is Rose, Anjie and Mini! They are 2nd Year Imperial Medics trying to escape the stress of their degree by taking part in the Imperial RAG Jailbreak!
They have already raised over £500, and are doing really well. By donating a few quid (or pledging to pay a few pennies per mile they travel) you will be giving directly to:
The Children's Society - providing protection and support for vulnerable children.... Smile Train - an international charity funding free cleft palate repair surgeries. Mind - a helpline that supports a wide range of people with various mental health problems. Cardinal Hume Centre - helps people gain skills to overcome poverty and homelessness. Remember every contribution counts!
Make sure you look out for them dressed in their unicorn and panda onesies this weekend!

You asked and we listened - we are running a spring jailbreak this term, just before good old Brexit so you can have the chance to hitchhike away through Europe to who knows where? Our Imperial College record is Bali, Indonesia – set in the Big Jailbreak of autumn 2016. Can you beat it?
The challenge is simple: You have 36 hours to get as far from Imperial College as possible, using any method of travel but not spending your own money.... You'll raise money for RAG's charities of the year along the way! Your best experience at Imperial awaits.
The challenge will begin on Saturday the 9th of March, and ends the next day!
Once you've purchased a ticket, you can create a fundraising page. We look forward to seeing what you can achieve this time!
