Good news... we can now confirm that iFLY Basingstoke is back up and running following this mornings power outage. A local workforce in the area accidentally drilled into a cable cutting the power off to the leisure park.... oops. We are sure they had no intentions to disrupt everyone’s morning but please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused.

User

Apologies there has been a power outage this morning at iFLY Basingstoke.
We are calling all customers flying today and hoping for this to be sorted as soon as possible, however if you’d like to get in touch with us regarding a booking, please give us a call on 0161 359 3867.

What an amazing time we all had at IFly today! Patient and informative staff. Our instructor Dan was very patient with our children and we were all made to feel at ease.I am so glad I decided to do the high fly what an amazing experience! Thank you for a great day! We will definitely be back.

So after doing a few skydives I convinced my wife she'd love it too! Having a fear of heights meant she'd never do it so instead I booked us both in here for a flight to give her all the feels of flying. She sadly wasn't a fan but I however I found a new hobby!!!!! I absolutely loved it, the venue is awesome, staff are super friendly and all equipment is in perfect condition and clean. I've since been back for more flights today and have booked my next visit too. I can't wait to be able to fly properly and earn my wings. Definitely recommend to anyone who is a bit of a thrill seeker looking for a new hobby or even just for a day out for friends or family. Safe to say I'll be flying solo from now on but can't wait to get back in the tunnel and earn some wings. In relation to reading other reviews on here all I can say to anyone reading my review is don't be swayed by negative ones. I've just read a lot of the reviews and categorically disagree with most of them. Timing in the tunnel is precious I agree and maybe yes the high fly should be additional time but to be complaining about vouchers, bookings and running out of time for renewing vouchers well it's safe to say that those people have no one to blame but themselves. In all correspondence I've had with IFly I've been told what to do, done what I've been told and have had a blast!

So in simple terms just follow their rules (every company and venue have their own) and you shouldn't have a problem.

My daughter wanted to fly and although we were apprehensive we booked it for her birthday. Felicity can be shy and timid to challenges so was super proud to watch her fly under the careful eye of Zac. He made her calm and confident but helped her reach limits she wouldnt necessarily have done. His level of patience and genuine passion for skydiving made him a great coach. So much so she wants to fly again but we are planning it carefully to fly again with Zac lol. Amazing experience for her and us as parents. Cant recommend enough ifly enough but special thanks to Zac for making her 6th Birthday one to remember!

User

Me and my partner came here on Friday after buying him a voucher for his 30th birthday. After reading some reviews we were abit worried but we had a brilliant time staff were all friendly and helpful and was well organised. I will definitely have ago next time!! Loads of photo opportunities and a little show from the instructors to show how it's done!! Great evening out.

User

It was my first time experiences indoor skydiving and iFly made it a great experience. A couple of on the day options are available to you such as an extra fly or hi-fly. Unfortunately our instructor wasn’t trained in this area so we were not offered the extra. This is something that I feel should be made aware of to avoid any disappointment.

After speaking to the Manager JD, who was very understanding and did his best to see if we could do the high-fly. He handled the problem well and managed to books us in on a session with Karl.

Karl was very fun and engaging with everyone with such enthusiasm. When helping with everyone he adapted his approach with the children well and boosted their confidence. Overall had a great time and was glad to be able to high-fly thanks to the staff involved. Would recommend as a day out to anyone !

User

I thought it was brilliant got roped into doing it by my mates and other half and was nervous as hell but our instructor Karl was fantastic, he really put us at ease and had a laugh. Would highly recommend it to anyone

User

I had a few flights and VR flight bought as my Birthday gift. I must say it’s fun it’s great experience and it can be used to train free fall position for a real skydiving when you exit an aircraft at 15000ft ! My instructor - Zac was great ! - very much highly skilled skydiver with an amazing people’s skills . His level of patience and genuine passion for skydiving made him a great coach. Cant recommend enough ifly with a special thank you to Zac !

User

I am a cancer patient with multiple cancers and Mets. I have always wanted to do a Skydive but the doctors say no. Last night I went indoor skydiving at Basingstoke and had a blast. Lewis was our instructor and amazing, but because of my medical issues a second instructor was in the tunnel to help and I felt safe at all times. They helped me in and out of the tunnel and even took me to the top twice. :-). I cant thank the guys enough for their help and Patience. If you have mobility issues I can't recommend this highly enough, the team are fully supportive and will do anything to make your experience the best. The adrenaline junkie in me was back last night :-) :-)

User

Had a great second session today in preparation for my petrifying level 4 AFF on Friday. Jimmy knew exactly what I needed from my session. Will be back on Friday morning for a bit more practice before the big jump in the afternoon! The only problem I have is I have been unable to print any of the vouchers or booking confirmations on my printer. I'm not sure why, everything else is printing fine, but nothing from iFly will print

Amazingly addictive!

My girlfriend and I are on our 8th visit now and still have a laugh and a giggle at ourselves trying to do things with the grace and elegance of the instructors.

All the instructors have been such fun, so friendly and amazingly helpful.

We both wish we were as flexible as Daisy

User

Amazing experience for my 5 year old. Antony was brilliant!! It was running on time, lovely group of people, the safety talk was short but thorough (perfect for a child who hates to listen) good £25 package to purchase all photos and videos aswell which was an unexpected bonus. Would highly recommend, can't wait to book again!

User

We went to ifly today for my husband for Father’s Day we may of had a lucky day but I found it was run really well and both my children (5 and 9) ended up really scared and although they didn’t like it the instructors were really patient and even tried them another couple of times to try and make them relax more.

I would defiantly go back (without the kids).

If I was being picky on line I had to book us in two desperate slots so I nearly missed my husband and daughter fly as I had to have the brief which they didn’t seem to fussed on but luckily I didn’t I should have just gone in their one.

User

So I loved the actual tunnel time. It was a lot trickier to get the hang of than I thought it would be. The instructor was really good. Our group had Lewis. I really did have a good time. The 4* rating was down to all the extras that you arnte really informed of till ur gonna be flying. The price is high so the fact you have to pay an additional £7 for the instructor to take you high is a bit sore. I did pay this as I wanted the experience. Also the fact that this time isn't added to your very limited 2 mins in my case it's inclusive of this time. Basically paying for the same time space twice. And price per min is obviously how they make the money but I didn't see anyone get there full 1 or 2 mins. Everyone lost roughly 5-10 seconds of each flight by being removed from the tunnel earlie. Overall a very good but very pricy few mins.

User

My brother and I asked for vouchers for Christmas as I have been before and loved it and he wanted to give it a go. We had an amazing time, it was such good fun especially the hi-fly where the instructor takes you up to the top of the tunnel and down really fast. It literally did take my breath away!

My only complaint would be that you are not made aware at the time of booking that not all instructors are trained in hi-fly so it isn’t always available depending on who you get assigned. We had viewed everyone else from the gallery having hi-flys and were left very disappointed when we didn’t get given the option on our second flight, as were most of the group of 12 we were with. After speaking to a manager, myself, my brother and one other person in our group were squeezed in to a flight with Karl. Karl was very helpful and made the experience very enjoyable as he was very interactive in explaining everything and especially good with the young children who were a bit unsure.

Will definitely return but will ask on time of booking to make sure we get a hi-fly trained instructor!

User

Amazing experience, friendly staff. Lots of fun and would recommend to anyone. The only thing I would say is when buying the videos and photos at the end is that if you have an iPhone you can’t download straight to the phone, you can with the photos just not the videos. Android works perfectly.

Thankyou

After reading some of the reviews I totally agree with the reception welcome, they weren’t very welcoming, my 6 year old son was super excited and they didn’t even acknowledge him. However once we went to the viewing room all instructors were BRILLIANT! My husband and son were doing the flight and me and my daughter (1 year old) we’re waiting in the viewing room, all the instructors waved to my daughter and one lad even got down on the floor with her and had a little chat with her. When it was my sons turn to fly, the instructor was brilliant at handing him, bringing him over to window so I could video him. Yes the experience was short but it was still great fun and the boys loved it! I want a go next time 👍🏻👍🏻

User

We paid about £180 pound to go on Ifly in April. We enjoyed the very little time we had there. We then booked the extended tickets for another £100. Not knowing we has to return within 3 months. We went to book today and was told the tickets are now expired BUT you can pay and extra £30 and extend the tickets. What a joke. I wouldn't recommend based on this experience. . .

User

I ended up letting my daughter use my 2 flights (2x1 minutes) as once I saw the way the place is run I completely lost all interest in doing the activity. Now I already know ifly will reply blah tight schedules blah blah blah, but when you are paying for something and allotted time is given, ie 1 full minute flying time, you expect one full minute! Not 52 seconds or 53 seconds. I’m seriously considering taking the 4 videos of my daughters flights to trading standards. Oh and there is no mention at them time of me agreeing to my daughter doing the high fly for £6 extra that it would also be time deducted from the actual flight I had already paid £45 for. She had a good time overall, but even said herself it felt like you were in there for seconds and out again (which is true, as your time starts even if the other person is still blocking the entrance). I would not bring her back even for the hard sold half price returns. 1st instructor was rude and abrupt when I tried to ask a question (they only had 40 mins after all from watching the dvd to actually going in the tunnel. Luckily the second instructor she had, Karl, was top drawer and saved the day. A very very expensive average couple of hours.

User

Booking confirmation doesn’t confirm anything!! unless you have your original hard copy voucher from 6 months ago you can’t fly, staff are rude & unhelpful, very much a “Computer say no attitude” we drove nearly 200miles which we explained to be conned..... pathetic company, I even had to chase my original confirmation!! Oh and happy to brag that they had turned others way too......cretins!

Amazing experience, friendly staff. Lots of fun and would recommend to anyone. The only thing I would say is when buying the videos and photos at the end is that if you have an iPhone you can’t download straight to the phone, you can with the photos just not the videos. Android works perfectly.

I wouldn't recommend based on this experience. . .
