Last few spaces available for the London, Southern & Eastern Section's Christmas Walk and Dinner on Friday 14 December. This year the Section are heading to the Churchill War Rooms. An underground bunker that allowed Britain's leaders to plot the allied route to victory during the Second World War.
A two-course Christmas dinner will take place after the tour at The Red Lion, which is a short walk from the Churchill War Rooms.

The Midlands Section event next week will illustrate how ingenuity and innovation ensured a gas transmission pipeline remained compliant with the design code, avoiding a diversion that could have cost more than £50 million, after the proposed layout of a new road scheme changed during construction.
Presenters, Dr Troy Swankie and Anthony Wood, will include an overview of the scale of the problem faced by National Grid UK and the support provided by DNV GL and PIE Ltd.

The IGEM Welsh Section held their Annual Dinner on 19 October 2018. The evening was filled with food, entertainment and dancing. Welcome entertainment was provided by Hims and Arias, Welsh Male Voice Choir, followed by live music from The Party Bandits.

The team at OmegaFlex Ltd were recently invited to IGEM House to present their TracPipe product to the Large Business Forum (LBF). Trevor Smallpeice, Chair of the LBF, asked Matt Garrod and Jamie Cooper to showcase Omegaflex’s TracPipe flexible gas piping.
TracPipe is a stainless steel semi-rigid gas piping system that is an alternative to rigid copper or steel pipework installed between the meter and an appliance. TracPipe system can be used on domestic, industrial and commercial applications for new, replacement and extensions to gas systems.
The Omegaflex team help to design gas pipework installations, saving time on the design and specification stages of a project.
