Went to Il Bistro today . Was so impressed with food and service . Lunch time menu was such good value . Taking my mum next week � would recommend to friends and family

Was recommended by a friend and really glad I visited yesterday. Very friendly,good welcoming and service and good was very good. Had the lunchtime special menu and will definitely go back to try the full menu.

Visited here after seeing the two courses for £10 meal. Food was excellent and the service even better. Friendly, attentive and knowledgeable staff; able to fully advise on us on allergy information. FAB!



The food was excellent. All homemade with a beautiful selection. The homemade creme caramel was the best I've ever had. The fish and chips were delicious.



We both had three courses with a glass of wine and it came to under £20 each. It was the perfect end to a wonderful stay in a Brighton. If we're in the area again, we will definitely visit and will recommend to anyone coming here!

This restaurant is a must visit! The food is fab & the staff are all very friendly & attentive! The manager was lovely & came & had chat with us which we found really nice. We had a really lovely evening here. Will definitely visit again

The manager was brilliant from start to finish with happy banter great food recommendations and a wonderful wine list, throwing in a birthday sing song and Limoncello shots. 5 star food and service and could not ask for anymore.

Our visit on the cold evening of 1st February 2018 was not our first. We had the set three course menu. Starting with vegetable soup and cod mornay followed by mains of steak with pepper sauce frites and salad and a very generous three lamb chops with roast potatoes green beans and carrots. Followed by ice cream and creme caramel. The waiters are always so friendly and the ambience and food is reminiscent of the best of Les Routiers. A family run restaurant that cares.

Lovely little Bistro in "The Lanes". Service was good, service staff were very pleasant & nice portion sizes. Food/plates were hot & £10 for two courses was good value for money. Would re-visit & would recommend. Had a fab time in Brighton too. 👍🏻😊

Great exceptional service with a very quaint village ambience in the middle of a bustling city like Brighton. We did not feel rushed nor forgotten. Me and my friends went here by chance as we wanted something different. And as they have a lunch menu deal and accepted Tastecard promotions, we decided to give them a go.



The food was great. We had the gambas, calamari fritta, and fish croquette for starters. I love my steak and theirs did not disappoint. The T-bone main was literally to die for. We also had the fish and chips which was truly fresh. And for dessert, the Tiramisu was the best one so far that I have tried in this country.



As for the prices, they were not cheap but because of the lunch menu deal and the Tastecard discount, it was a no brainer for a 3-person lunch.



I would highly recommend this resto.

Gorgeous place - excellent service - delicious food - I ordered a glass of wine didn't like it and with absolutely no fuss or bother it was changed for a different wine ( which I did like) and wasn't charged extra - that's exceptional service 🙂

Gorgeous food and wonderful service. This was my first visit to IL Bistro and I thought the food was lovely. I started with the chorizo and salami platter then had a nice rare sirloin. All was cooked to perfection and the quality of the meat was obvious. The tiramisu nearly finished me off but it was worth it. Great service as well so we will be back for sure.

Found it by chance while visiting with friends, sat outside in the sunshine, the staff were very friendly and helpful with questions, food was delicious, hot and well presented.

Excellent service, really friendly staff. The waiter even came to collect us from the neighbouring pub when our table was ready. Food was really good and over all, great value as well. Will definitely go back again.

Excellent service, good choice of meals. Decent portion sizes, nice mixed roasted veg sides, not the usual boiled carrots and cauliflower. My meal was a set menu option, 3 courses for £15.95, so reasonable prices too. Will definitely go here again, we only ended up here as our planned choice was full, but it ended up a better choice.

Another fabulous evening at this little gem of a restaurant... the best steak in Brighton.!! Great food, great drinks, great staff...
