Why haven't eaten here for so long!



We actually ordered a Deliveroo from Il Vesuvio last night and once the food arrived we couldn't work out why we hadn't eaten here for so long. A friend and I shared the Antipasto del Vesuvio which was a massive selection of meats and included olives, pickled veg, bruschettas & sundried tomatoes. It was absolutely delicious, just perfect. We realised this was probably a bit too much for 2 as a starter and we didn't actually start the pasta we ordered so I can't comment on that but it looked delicious. Everything was very well packed & wrapped for the delivery and arrived in the time confirmed by deliveroo. We will be back either to eat in or via deliveroo. Thank you for a very delicious meal.

This is my favourite Italian restaurant, loved everything I tried so far, the staff are very friendly and the menu is varied as you always have many options to chose from. Well done!

The girls and boys from Colonnade Florist had a great meal last night at this wonderful restaurant. We didn't book until half and hour before, as it was a very spur of the moment thing. Our call was taken with gratitude for the business, rather than rudeness with the three restaurants I had previously tried.

Great food, great service and a very warm and friendly welcome.

My maid of honour and I came here on what was to be my last night of freedom . I was getting married the next day so we wanted to choose somewhere with great ambience and lovely food. Il vesuvio did not disappoint. We looked at the specials but decided to opt from the normal menu. I had the chicken in mushrooms one of my particular favourites and my friend had a fish dish. The food was delicious and melted in your mouth. Service was prompt and we were personally welcomed in. This was my friend's first visit to this family run restauarnt and she was impressed. All the staff were friendly, warm and welcoming and Franco and his wife made us particularly welcome when they knew the occasion. After a lovely meal dessert followed and this time we did choose from the specials menu. They were simply divine and melted in your mouth. All in all an excellent meal and excellent night out. Highly recommend Il vesuvio restaurant !!!!

My husband and I went last night and must say it was exceptional. My husband is Italian and so always hard to find a good one this was just like being back home and the staff were from the next village to him in Naples so even better! Will be bringing the family when they are next over xx

If you want to experience the authentic Italian dining, have a great selection of Italian wines and feel welcome, il Vesuvio is the place for you. We drive many miles to eat here and we’re happy to come back again and again! Forza Napoli!

Hands down best Italian restaurant in Kent. Their penne alla vodka is the best I've had in my life. We live 30 mins away, and travel here once a month to get our fix. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming. We just love this place.

Great Italian restaurant with authentic food and great wines. Staff are always friendly and happy to make recommendations. Don't go here if you want fast food! It can be a while for your food to cook but that's because everything is cooked fresh!! So go with someone who's company you enjoy �

Beautiful restaurant and lovely atmosphere. We celebrated my husbands 40th Birthday at ll Vesuvio last night, with our son and some friends. We had a fab night and cannot thank the staff enough for their attentiveness. The food was, as always delicious. Thoroughly recommend this excellent restaurant.

Authentic food in a little corner of Italy on Camden Road. Excellent, friendly service. Incredible food, delicious wine and wonderful surroundings. Can’t wait to go back!

As a person, i totally felt like royalty! And as a vegan I have never felt so valued and respected!! Service at it's absolute finest!

My two daughters, whom I was with... (Have another girl and a boy at home. Lol) had such a wonderful time... Older daughter still talks about it... And next time My 2 yr old sees a lollypop she'll, again, follow it and remember. �. (Or next time we have spaghetti!)

Amazing Italian food and atmosphere in West Kent. Will definitely come back. Food is from the heart and tastes heavenly.

5 star all the way. 3rd time I've visited in the last 6 months and will be visiting again soon. I have grown up on home cooked italian meals with my family here and in Italy and the food and atmosphere at Il Vesuvio are both authentic and first class. The owner's are very friendly and welcoming. Shall visit again soon!
