From dark, twisted symphonies to sweet lullabies, the collective writing talents of Ian Jones (Karnataka, Chasing The Monsoon) and Agnieszka Swita (solo, Caamora) combine in a powerful musical collaboration. Creating a majestic towering cathedral of sound, embracing symphonic, progressive rock, folk and classical music, these are songs which traverse the fine line between darkness and light, life and death, solitude and hope. Like shards of light piercing a subterranean labyrinth. This is ILLUMINAE.

Great progress on the debut album. )) We've been recording more vocals (just one track left to finish) and working on the overall production. It's very interesting to hear how far some of the songs have evolved from the original ideas and demos. Maybe we can include one or two demos on a special edition? We're starting to think about the mixing stage - always a good sign!
The recording for the debut album 'Dark Horizons' is moving along very nicely - exciting to hear the tracks really starting to take shape. Ian has been working on the production and keyboards with most of the instrumentation now complete and Agnieszka has also been in the studio recording some great vocals.
The album production is progressing very nicely and we'll be bringing you more studio updates and album details soon.

The debut album recording and production is progressing incredibly well - it's really exciting to hear the tracks develop. Luke Machin is currently recording some wonderful guitars - great to be working with someone who is not only a fantastic guitarist but also has a great ear for production too.
We're very pleased to announce that KARNATAKA keyboard player Gonzalo Carrera will be a special guest on the new album. Gonzalo was in the studio recently recording some beautiful piano on new album track 'Sign of Infinity'.

It's been a fantastic week recording drums with Craig Blundell for the new album. Drums are all finished, beautifully played by Craig and sounding superb. He's not just a great drummer but an excellent recording engineer too! We're looking forward now to moving to the next stage of production.

One of the most in-demand drummers, Craig is acknowledged internationally as a leading drum innovator, teacher, educator and motivator. Craig is an incredibly gifted musician and we're looking forward to working with him on the new album.
