Illyrian Ensemble Description
The Illyrian Ensemble was formed in 2016, the 400th year since Shakespeare’s death. Illyria is the exotic ‘never, never land’ setting of Twelfth Night, a place of mystery, adventure and romance where many unusual things happen. The ensemble was formed to engage in the themes that resonate with Illyria. It is an ensemble that aims to explore the mysteries of all types of repertoire from orchestral to chamber works, classical to jazz.
