Reviews
One of my recent kitchens , an unusual colour scheme but I like it The tiling was done by Richard Stephens I was so impressed with the way he perfectly mitred the corners around the windows .
Poor old Dave was struggling with the heat last week until he found my big fan was running
I don’t fit bathrooms these days but I often make the furniture for other fitters . I recently made this 50mm oak top and inset cupboard for my friend Phil Johnson who does some really lovely bathroom fitting work The wood against the tiles gives a lovely custom made look , especially that thick oak top mounted on invisible steel brackets routed into the top
Dave says the new fine finish sander just purrs
A recent kitchen I made , designed and fitted by Jeff Philp to fit a difficult space , including the under stairs In previous post .
Huge 650 deep drawers fitted under a staircase
Having quoted for oak doors and been compared to howdens I feel I need to highlight the truth behind thier oak doors . This is what you will find when trimming a door to fit 😫 not oak at all , just a thin veneer over chipboard nasty 😱
Another evening painting shift done , new painting racks are making life easier
A few pics I took of a kitchen I made last year .it was designed and meticulously fitted by Jeff Philp in saltash . I have to say the design and colour fit perfectly in this room . I was unaware until I delivered the kitchen that it was for an old friends mum who still lives in the same house I remembered from my school days . Sadly I learned my friend had recently passed away
Nice new Mirka sander just arrived , no ordinary sander and not cheap but they certainly earn thier living . Makes the old one look tired
A few photos of my latest kitchen , lovely premium oak Worktops , a removable draining board shaped from the sink cut out . Lots of fun scribing this one to fit especially the plinths to character flagstone floor
2 bedroom wardrobes pull down hanging rail is a neat addition . Full height mirror on wardrobe door built into an alcove
My latest kitchen , a change from the norm , flat doors lift door wall cupboards pull out workstation , shoe cupboard with seat above and wine storage at end . integrated fridge , freezer , and dishwasher all next to each other . Lovely composite stone Worktops that will sparkle under the led under cupboard lighting . Lovely engineered oak flooring
Vacuuming the cobwebs around the window in the workshop and Arry the spider 🕷just sat there watching me , I think he was a bit upset I was destroying his webs . I told him he was a good fella for killing all the flies but I had to clean up his mess and the webs were getting full of sawdust He’s grown a lot recently . Well done Arry
New windows and a door for a lovely little stone outbuilding at a lovely local property .
Here’s a little test to show how good the moisture resistant mdf I use is , I hear so many comments about mdf being soft rubbish, normal mdf is a bit nasty but not this . On the right is a piece of door frame that’s been in a bucket for water for 3 days , it’s next to a dry piece , as you can see it’s hardly swollen at all , and it dried out to look the same as the dry piece . It even surprised me to be honest It’s over twice the price so you get what you pay for
This popped up as a memory from 2012 when nearly everyone wanted wood kitchens
