In November last year we donated all of our uncollected 2018 event t-shirts to our great charity mates School in a Bag. This week they have been handed out, along with school bags to children in The Gambia.

This weekend, Steve tackled the Martock 10k - hopefully one of the easier routes in his challenge to complete all 16 of our races in 12 weeks! If you need some triathlon training inspiration, you can catch up on his journey so far in his latest blog: https://www.immortalsport.com/steve-ellio tts-immortal-chal…/

Masters of Tri have been sharing some of their expert insights into triathlon training on our blog. This week, we're looking at aerobic training and triathlon. This blog also has some really useful training sessions for you to download https://www.immortalsport.com/triathlon-i s-an-aerobic-sport/

The lucky Julie won the chance to attend Masters of Tri's training course in Spain last year. Find out how she enjoyed the weekend in Alicante https://www.immortalsport.com/julie-racin g-immortal-and-tr…/

Not long now until the A-plan Insurance Yeovil Half Marathon! You've seen the medal, and now we'd love to see your training stories. Is it your first ever half marathon? Did you just start running in 2019? Or maybe you've been taking part since the beginning. Let us know! https://yeovilhalf.com/

This will be a great event. We know a number of the Minster Milers, they take part in lots of our events and are a lovely bunch!

Right then the moment you have been waiting for..... As someone has correctly guessed the theme of the #yeovilhalfmarathon 2019 medal we thought it best to reveal it in full! There is a nice bit of local history connected to the design and it will form part of a collection of 3 medals from our other half marathon events, Salisbury and Stroud. Season tickets available here https://race-nation.co.uk/register/immort al-sport-ltd/series

Yeovil Half Marathon 2018

Really good race, nice having your name on your number and the fact that the numbers are posted out pre-race means no queueing to pick them up on race day. Seemed to be ample toilets at the start, although I saw none at the finish. The finish area became very congestion with runners and spectators and the runners couldn't get to the water station. Nice unique medal and t-shirt. Bag drop: you could do with moving the bags to the finish line, maybe use a lorry? As walking back to the start is OK if (a) you know the way (b) it's not raining. There was a long queue (good job queuing is the British national sport!) to pick up bags and several runners were getting very cold waiting.

I gather there were issues with some of the timing, mine was fine.

Nice touch to do a discount for early entry for 2019. I've signed up already.

Up to your usual high standards guys so it's a big thank u from me. Special thanks to all the volunteers and marshals for turning out today in difficult conditions.

Totally smashed it Salisbury Half Marathon 13.1 miles 2:49 all time PB from previous time 3:24.Thank you to the brilliant Total Buzz team, the Marshalls, the member's of the public for the outstanding support. The Medal has to be a favorite of mine,it was massive, bottle opener and fridge magnet.Plenty of water around even though had my own running back pack and hydration kit and people handing out sweets.Thank you to those front leaders in the race who pushed me on,while their race came to almost a end it got me around the second lap.Back next year.

User

Total Buzz made the YHM brilliant. The people from Yeovil and Montacute who came out to support it made it amazing!!

User

Top class events and support all the time. Always a pleasure to take part in their events

User

Thankyou so much for such a fabulous event today at Salisbury. Everything from ease of parking, collection of race number, bag drop, marshalls and route was just perfect. The medal and tshirt is great quality too.

User

Really enjoyed the Salisbury Half. Great course, Great medal and tshirt. 10/10..... Have you got a link to our personal photos?

User

Just had my second Yeovil Half Marathon which I found was a really well organised event, getting your race number in the post is a really good idea as all you need to do it turn up with no queuing for anything. Really happy with the route and so much better starting and finishing in the Town Centre, the support from the spectators really helped.

Basically, sign me up for every year unless you hear otherwise!! :)

User

I participated in the Taunton Tri yesterday. The event was incredibly well managed from start to finish. Can't wait until next year!

First ever half marathon...Couldn't fault it. Slick operation over all aspects. So great to see so many friendly marshals and helpers giving up their day to volunteer for free to help make such a great event.

User

Did Stroud half yesterday. Although the bag collection was a bit long and the toilets were pretty bad...it was a fantastic event. Highly recommend! Thanks to the organisers and amazing spectators with jelly babies galore!

User

User

Abloutsley loved today gr8 route,gr8 t. Shirt and medal very well organised. And best of all got a p.b .Definitely come back next year .

User

Thanks to the organisers of today s race ,as always well marshalled and conducted, this is Yeovil half No eight for me and is always a fun experience. The race medal which doubles as a fridge magnet is also a fun idea

User

I was at the Stroud Half Marathon on Sunday. As normal everyone complains about not enough toilets this will never go away 1 toilet for 10 runners. Second bag drop wasn't that well organised, only because we were get cold after our run standing around for half hour didn't help matters before we got our bag. Last thing was the medal I placed my in my pocket as soon as people were losing them while working around they just seem to full off. I wouldn't be happy losing mine after doing a half marathon.

It was my first Immortal event and has left me opened minded about doing another.

User

I thought it was a great event, great marshals, the course is very good and a great middle of Town finish. The only let down for me was the results. They are still not right, I was last over the line at the start, 119, and must have taken me two mins if not longer to get over the mats from the gun but it has me down as 1:38 and taking 17 seconds to cross the line at the start, My watch said 1:36 so two minutes missing somewhere? Also, we had over 80 YTRRC runners but only 52 in the results and some their times are also wrong. Our first man was 1:20 but results say 1:28? Would stick to FoS for results. But great Race.
