we had a wonderful meal here NYE and it was ours kids 1st visit to a Chinese restaurant and it was not a let down, the good was amazing!!!
Visited with my wife and 5 year old. Loved the atmosphere, and my boy enjoyed walking over the stream with fish to get in. Food was really good, and atmosphere was great with lanterns and other decorations too. Would def recommend, and will go back! Good for families with children too.
This restaurant is a hidden gem. It's relatively small entrance belies a much, much bigger interior, with an upstairs and including a little bridge over a pool with Koy carp. This is a nice restaurant with great food and great service. So many other Chinese places around Lisle St, Gerard St and Wardour St are either fast food or buffet style. This is a lovely place for an intimate meal or a larger party too. I've been to China Town on several occasions now and inevitably, despite wanting to try some other establishments been drawn back here. It's not massively expensive either.
The best Chinese restaurant I've been to. The food was really delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Nice food, nice place would go back there again for sure
My had the Hua Mei spare ribs ( with special plum sauce ) with special fried rice
And me the Fu Jian Fried Rice (sea food, mixed meat, and egg fried rice
Easily the best Chinese I had in London, would return definitely
I love this place. I visit every time I'm in London, the staff are friendly and provide great service, the food is excellent every time and the place has a great atmosphere from the moment you walk in and cross the bridge with the koi fish, I love the decor. Great job ๐๐พ
Gorgeous food highly recommend this restaurant. Great staff
Good ambience and entrance to restaurent with koi carp nice touch. Staff helpful and flexible. Food high quality and good price. Had set menu c between 6 with food to take home.
Food is good, not the best ever, but it's good. The point is we had a huge amount of fun in the private room with karaoke, that's what matters in life. If you can't sing Elton John really loudly while stuffing your face with prawn crackers then it's not worth it, luckily you can here
First time here with a big crowd of work colleagues. One waiter looked like it was his first time too, but the rest were very attentive & kept the drinks flowing. Set meal was a good choice when so many were there & it didn't disappoint. Only trouble is after crackers, Hors d'oeuvres, soup & crispy duck you're pretty full by the time the main courses come out! All very nice though & plenty of it, would thoroughly recommend to anyone.
One of the best restaurants in chinatown . Friendly staff although the langauge barrier was an issue . The lavatories could be checked and cleaned more often . The food was cooked to perfection . A little pricey for 2 people but the alcohol was expensive a great place to go hence 4 stars will come back again ..
Food very good and reasonable prices
Saturday evening service was a bit slow
Food was good
But very small portions ,ordered half a crispy shredded Duck portion size was only just a quarter,!!!!
Oh and do avoid the fried Chilli Squid ,boring and tasteless other dishes were very nice .
Service very slow ,you had to keep getting up to look for a member of staff too busy chatting to each other
Also very expensive for a Chinese ,not worth a second visit
Fantastic food but beware of potion sizes, they are for 2-4 people.
The mini pond on the way is a bit small, The Koi look uncomfortable. Itโs more like a big puddle.
Have been coming here for years and recommend it to everyone. Had been brilliant, food excellent, service and detail fantastic. However, tonight is our last meal, and I would think that will apply to friends and family. A very sad day, when what was a good restaurant forgets its customers!
Food was ok but small portion, really poor customer services. They weren't rude just lack of attention. Typical Chinese restaurant to incur 12.5% service charge in which I don't think they deserved that at all! Doubt we will go back there for some time ๐ฌ
Food is a bit over priced. Service is not the best, is decent. Service charge is a scam as employees don't touch a penny. Avoid paying with card as they will trying to take more few pounds from you. Ex: my bill was ยฃ30.55 and she said sorry can't charge ยฃ0.55 had to be ยฃ31! So I gave her 5p coin. My friend has 10p in 2p coins they don't accepted as well! Shocking greedy management. Not going back to this restaurant.
Having heard a lot of things about this place we decided to try it! Started off by being ignored when we went in. Then finally got a waiter who had he smiled his face would probably have cracked! After getting our starters which were nice I must admit, we waited 40 mins for the main course which arrived cold and dry. We were also left without drinks for 40 minutes despite asking twice. When we paid the bill and complained politely we got a grunt or two but nothing in the way of an apology! We will donate the service charge that we would have paid to charity. Oh and by the way we won't be back!
