We had the misfortune of hiring a van from imperial vehicle hire as l was taking some furniture to spain, the van arrived a day early which was not a problem but when l moved the vehicle l discovered that the oil warning light was on. l checked the dip stick to find there was no oil at all in the engine, how the delivery driver failed to notice the warning light is beyond me. l rang the office and they sent somebody round and he put the smallest amount of oil in to put the warning light out.Thinking no more about it we set off early saturday morning to catch the ferry to spain. We had got no more than 20 miles down the road when the oil warning light came on again, the only thing we could do was stop at service station and pay £44 fer oil .We travelled 1500 miles not knowing if the engine had a serious problem Luckily we made it back home, when the driver came to pick up the van he assured me that i would get my money back. lt has now been over 2 months and despite numerous phone calls and e-mails l am still waiting for payment.So l would certainly NOT recommend this company.

Great van hire place. I got a long wheel based Transit for a house move. Really simple hire and run by an honest chap. I used to hire a lot of transits and lutons for my job and I can tell you not every hire company is created equal, and this place seemed like one of the better ones.
