The food is excellent and the sushi tastes amazing. Love the idea of ordering from your interactive table. Would definitely go again.

User

Just a note to say thanks for an amazing evening. Food, service and atmosphere all spot on. Special mentions for Wendy the manger and to Claudio who was one of the best waiters we have had in a long time. Thanks so much, we'll definitely be back!

User

Had the best time in The Games Room Soho the other night at Paul Atherton's 50th birthday bash! It really breaks the ice to play video games when you meet new people and Romesh never let our glasses of fizz stay empty once all night! Food great too and took account of all dietary requirements. I'm wheat and dairy intolerant so the sushi was fab. Thanks so much!

User

Had a trip to Inamo in Soho and thoroughly enjoyed it. We used the new games room which was excellent for a large party of people. With its huge screens and several games consoles, a selection of games and controllers, everyone had fun.The food as always was amazing and the cocktails went down easily. A fantastic idea, we really enjoyed spending time with friends, eating, drinking and playing games.

User

Food was amazing, some of the best ribs I’ve ever had. Melted in the mouth! An hour and a half seating time was a little tight to eat and fully explore the games and other services available but we went as a part of the time out deal which included bubbles and was an amazing deal! Toilets were a bit dark and cramped, but didn’t care, fits in the soho vibe. Food was delicious, deserves praise. Looking at some of these reviews can only assume they now have a new chef

User

Fantastic as always. My only complaint is where did the pork n chocolate dish go, one of my favs before. The new dragon sushi did nearly well to make up for it though, very nice

User

Went to the Soho branch last night. We had a great experience. Crispy duck pancakes were perfectly done. We arrived an hour earlier then originally booked for on the off chance that we could get a table, and the waitress/front of house was very accommodating and friendly. This was a truly unique experience which we loved! On the down side, the tables were a bit small and the place a little squashed, but this is London and space a premium so not truly an issue. My only problem was when I went to the ladies. It was unpleasant and I walked out immediately.

User

We had a great time at Inamo in Soho. I went with 4 kids who enjoyed the interactive tables and spying on the kitchen staff the staff were very attentive and the newly appointed manager Rupesh was very welcoming!!! We had a great time left feeling very stuffed as we ordered lots of sides. The kids were happy with their meals and desserts.

User

The duck was actually one of the best I have tasted. The sizzling tofu was excellent as were the gyozas. Interactive table was small admittedly but we managed. We were a tad early but no problem and the staff brought a plate with an ice cream and candle on it because we were celebrating a birthday. Overall a cosy atmosphere and good experience.

User

We had booked a table for 17:00 and courteously arrived at 16:55 which represented a grave offence to the lady in charge of the front of house. Once we were seated, service was quick but the menu small and quality of food low. I found it to be expensive for the portion size and flavour range available. The interactive menu projecting onto the TV was very interesting and fun, but the floor was sticky all the way down to the, very basic, bathrooms. I don't think the 12.5% gratuity added to the bill was well earned.

I wouldn't recommend this place to my friends or family.

User

Glad I didn’t have to pay for this! Had this as a Virgin Experience for my birthday last year. Poor customer service, table too small and wasn’t able to fit all the dishes (8 course tasting menu) on which seemed to be an inconvenience and annoyance to the staff. Pancakes snatched away without asking whether we had finished.....we hadn’t!!! Food was ok nothing special, not sure if Virgin would want to be associated with Inamo if they knew how poor it was 🙁

User

Average food. Expensive for what is essentially a gimmick. The experience was fun. But like one reviewer a one off. Green Thai curry spicy and more sauce than ingredients. Drinks were more ice than drink (mojito and Curaçao cocktail). Our food arrived altogether. Pretty quick service for food which was good. But we had been told we had table only until 2030 and ordered dessert at 2025- it arrived at 2100!?! But give them credit_ they took dessert and beer ordered and 10% surcharge off without us asking. Got to credit them the customer service. (B. O. male staff unpleasant though)

User

We went here on Valentines Day and had the most disappointing evening ever. The food was average and we were not told that there was a minimum spend prior to seating and when we were halfway through our dessert we were quietly informed of this by a waiter. I explained that we were not told and that we were finished (we were very close to the spend but not quite there) so he got the manager. The manager was rude, unmoving and would not accept that we had not been told when booked; he was loud so all the other tables near heard it all and my partner and I were left highly embarrassed.

To make things worse I have emailed them TWICE about this to the person I was told to contact and they have not replied at all; not even acknowledged the complaint. They rely on people coming for the interactivity, but service and food isn't worth it.

User

This review is a bit late considering I went last year some time but it’s been on my list to do. This was one of he worst experiences I have had out eating in all of my life. The food was lukewarm. The staff were incredibly rude. We had to wait 25 minutes for rice which we had to ask for TWICE as they had forgotten about us both times, in the end we told them to forget about it and then had the audacity to charge me for it (which I hadn’t realised until I had left.) I would’ve expected an exceptional service considering I had paid close to £100 for 2 people. I was excited to go her to treat my partner for his birthday. I left embarrassed and angry. Wouldn’t recommend.

User

Sadly Inamo’s food has gone down hill. We used to love the food so much that we’d take overseas friends there. Well NO more! The menu has decreased and it’s no longer worth the expensive prices they change. I’d give it a miss.

User

Rude staff, arrived 10 mins early, told our table wasn't ready, that she'd get us from the bar, 20 mins later went up, tables been ready but she forgot about us.

Informed us that we had and hour and half to eat and leave before telling us anything else, acting like we were a nuisance.

I brought a birthday cake with me for my boyfriend, but was told that they want £15 to light a couple of candles and bring out the cake.

Showed us to the table but didn't explain how to order anything, rude wait staff, kept rushing us, looked at us like we had the plague when we asked for some tap water. Food overpriced. Better off going to a wagamamas and taking an iPad.

Also charging us a 12.5% tip when they did jack?! Don't think so.

Overall really disappointing experience, would not recommend to anyone.

Looking at the reviews you've been getting I really wished I'd check out your FB page before booking this as a special birthday meal.

An insult to Japanese hospitality.

User

Not a good evening. the last time we visited another Inamo it was great fun and the food and service were fantastic. this time, they didn't have enough staff obviously - our order was messed up - the only item I could eat (gluten free) had run out but we didn't know until 45 minutes into the evening, my daughter's meal never arrived and the wine also never arrived - they had run out of the one my husband ordered and were going to bring another one, but we had eaten starters and the wine still hadn't arrived. so disappointed. :(

User

Dreadful & overpriced

Pre made sushi that they bring out cold

Not what you expect from such an expensive sushi restaurant

Toilets & washrooms are awful too

User

Avoid! - We had heard about the interactive tables, and thought it would be a nice experience. 4 of us got to the restaurant and were instructed by a direct member of staff, you can only stay for so long, I think it's 90 mins. We were taken to a table, where you could hardly see what was on the table (see pic) (this was due to projector). We asked if we could move tables as the restaurant was pretty empty, and were told we couldn't move by the same direct (i.e. rude) member of staff who met us when we arrived and who clearly wasn't happy in her job or was having an off day. she then quickly explained how the ordering worked, but made no attempt to make sure we understood. We asked her some questions, to which most responses were strained like we were inconvieincing her. We started to order the food not quite sure what we were doing, then everyones food started turning up at different times and not all together, the food.when it arrives was presented well, but really didn't taste great. One of the group decided not to eat, and at no point did any staff member (a) check to see if they needed help ordering (b) why they hadn't ordered or (c) if our meals were ok. They then automatically added on an a 10% tip. So in summary.. bad service, bad table, below average food... Never going back!!!
