Indian Cricket And Events Society (Ices)

ICES is a Society associated with the University of Gloucestershire. We focus on hosting cricket centred events such as watching matches in the SU bars and organising other social events focused on our culture and cuisine.

As Indian international students at the University of Gloucestershire we have started a society called “Indian Cricket and Events Society”. Within our culture cricket is a huge focus and we all love it! Unfortunately it has not always been easy to engage with the existing cricket society as we are often in lectures and do not always want to play competitively. Indians are passionate about their cricket and this society would celebrate that in all its forms, playing, watching, discussing and debating cricket. We would like to host cricket centred events such as watching matches in the SU bars and organising other social events focused on our culture and cuisine. The events will be open to all other students of the university who are willing to share and interact with us we do not see this as an exclusively Indian society but an opportunity to engage with all students in the things we love – Indian food and Cricket!
