For passengers, travelling on aircraft equipped with EAN, staying connected is easy. They get Europe’s fastest #IFC solution which means they can surf the internet, use social media and even stream live TV, as they fly. And for European airlines, it’s a no-brainer. Not is there the potential to make money via broadband-enabled revenue, but airlines can also save money, thanks to a range of operational efficiencies too. Would you say that’s a crucial commercial advantage? We would.https://bit.ly/320w4tp

As part of our commitment to the Armed Forces Covenant, we were delighted to welcome over 150 cadets to our London HQ at the weekend for a packed day of STEM activities – from paper-plane challenges and building and launching a rocket to making a compass and a scenario-based challenge on delivering care packages in a disaster response situation. The cadets were also given a tour of our Network Operations Centre and heard more about how our global satellite communications networks and services help save lives and serve organisations around the world every day. A fantastic day and we were really inspired by the enthusiasm and curiosity to learn from all the cadets!

Congratulations to UN Patron of the Ocean Lewis Pugh who has completed a historic swim underneath the East Antarctic ice sheet along a sub-glacial river. Swimming in just his trunks for 10 minutes 17 seconds in temperatures hovering at around 0°C, the environmental campaigner is calling for the creation of a network of Marine Protected Areas around Antarctica to help preserve our oceans. We were pleased to be able to support Lewis with our reliable, resilient BGAN satellite connectivity so that he could share his extraordinary feat and highlight his important campaign with a worldwide audience. #Antarctica2020 #ConnectedbyInmarsat
