Inner Compass Description

The maxim ' never judge a book by its cover' carries lots of truth in it. While some people will appear to be cool and collected on the outside, the brutal truth is that they may not have it on the inside. This is because outer success often masks internal and private shortcomings. For most people it is just a façade.

Today’s media is inundated with high flying personalities in football, the film industry and the business world, who look sharp on the outside and yet judging from the stories we read and hear about them, they are very blunt on the inside. Some of them struggle with internal demons of addictions, while others cannot keep a steady relationship.
While other people may be ok in this area, they may silently still suffer lack of confidence and zeal - always wishing that they were someone else.

The truth friend is that not all that glitters is gold. The purpose of this page therefore, is to turn the search light inwards - towards the inner man, seeking for ways to sharpen him.
So as we aim to prosper on the outside, we also need to apply more effort towards constantly improving our inner being for that is who we truly are.

In my life, I have found that there is no better help in this endeavour than God Himself through His Spirit and word.
Paul the apostle prayed for the Ephesians that God would according to His riches in glory, and through His Spirit strengthen their inner man (Ephesians 3: 16).
Likewise, John in his third epistle also prays that while we prosper in other things; our inner man should not lag behind (3 John 1: 2).

And just like a butcher's knife needs to be sharpened on a daily basis, so is our inner man. This is so eloquently put by Paul in his second letter to the Corinthians, '. . . . . yet our inner man is renewed day by day (2 Corinthians 4: 16).

So please subscribe to this page and get equipped with the requisite tools for inner sharpening!

Be blessed.
