The Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience (IoPPN) is Europe’s largest centre for research and postgraduate education in psychiatry, psychology, basic and clinical neuroscience and a School of King’s College London.

Increase in probable PTSD among British military
New research from King’s College London suggests the conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan may have led to an increase in the rate of probable Post Traumatic Stress Disorder among members of the UK Armed Forces.
The results estimate the overall rate of probable PTSD among current and ex-serving military personnel to be 6% in 2014/16, compared to 4% in 2004/6.

KCMHR partners with Phoenix Australia
Researchers from the King’s Centre of Military Health Research (KCMHR) at King’s College London and Phoenix Australia - Centre for Posttraumatic Mental Health at the University of Melbourne have begun a new partnership on military health and well-being.
Representatives from KCMHR officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Phoenix Australia which will develop the research partnership between the two institutions.
